[”You know a broken clock is right once a day,” Perry said.]

Aw, Rick, really? Do I have to say it?

Rick, I love ya, man. You’re a good guy and you were good for Texas.

You have earned your retirement. Enjoy it. Drop out NOW. Don’t do this to yourself! Don’t do it to US!

Drop out of the race and relax.

Rick will now become the GOPe whore. They are going to pay him for servicing them in attacking Trump. They will try but fail to hide their fingerprints.

Only 37.7 behind Trump in Alabama - a very tight race, indeed...

Perry should drop out before he sees the polls from Texas that would have him losing to both Trump and Cruz in Texas. And it’s not because we don’t know him after his record tenure as governor.

Perry is too stupid to be President, even of he wasn’t a cheap labor importer.

I'm sure that Perry will stick it out until his usefulness for dividing the Republican vote has become ineffective whereupon he will bow out and support Bush. Likewise for Kasich and Pataki and Gilmore and Graham, etc.
That seems to have been the original plan. No one counted on Trump sewing up the Opposition vote before the primaries even get under weigh.

I was hoping, I thought forlornly, that the herd would be thinned out severely before Super Tuesday with most of the "conservatives" dropping out which would prevent Bush from just riding his (then assumed) 30% through to Nomination. I don't think the gope saw a Trump coming. I think the Conservative strategy now must be to quietly improve Trump's economic education. Being a businessman, even a wildly successful businessman does not imbue one with economic wisdom. The talent for and science of amassing wealth in the market is different from understanding economics. Trumps support for tariffs indicates that.

He’s being paid by the GOPe to stick around through the Texas primary and he will do just that. Gotta splinter those votes so Jeb can win with 20%.

Same as Lindsey in South Carolina and Kasich in Ohio. They are being paid big bucks and Kasich has probably been promised the Jeb Veep in 2016 and sacrificial lamb position in 2020.

The story is, that the FEC rules are such, that if an individual declares, files all the documents, jumps through all the hoops and remains alive for a full year, they get a pretty nice chunk of change for doing it. I heard a figger of $400K. Is that correct?
