The story is, that the FEC rules are such, that if an individual declares, files all the documents, jumps through all the hoops and remains alive for a full year, they get a pretty nice chunk of change for doing it. I heard a figger of $400K. Is that correct?

I don’t know about the change they get but if your source is true then there is no wonder
so many have bothered to file the FEC Form 2 to get into the race. Apparently this maybe an
easy way to make some quick cash without a lot of effort.
