I know why people support Trump. I prefer Cruz. But I will support Trump. Because to promote Conservatism, we must first defeat the: • The GOP "Leadership" • The Establishment • The RINOs • The Wall Street Journal • The Michaels MEDVEDs. Conservativism will only succeed after we defeat these key defenders of Uniparty Statism. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. TRUMP IS A SOLUTION. I’m not going to debate you, because you practice rhetoric and excuses, just like the rest of the RINO statist defenders. We’ll elect Trump just to stick it to you. You EARNED Trump. Choke on it.

I feel the same way. I don’t think Trump is the new leader of the “conservative movement,” particularly on social issues. But when your country is drowning, you don’t get too particular about who’s throwing you a life preserver.

Now back in the usenet news days I would get into rhetorical knife fights. And I admit it was fun. But those days are gone.
In a forum like FR there are probably 100s lurkers reading threads that interest them and they are not all that interested in reading thru flame wars (unless you are really good at flaming with sense of humor). These people are your audience just has much as the person you are responding to. Make your point as clearly as you can and in the fewest words possible. Ignore insults and stay on point.
If you do this you will have much more influence than those attacking you. Oh and use lots of paragraphs too.

They call themselves ‘The New Majority’ and they are still around making war on California’s grassroots conservatives. And two of The New Majority’s propaganda shills were none other than Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved.
