Before Damascus, Saul knew a lot about the extant Holy Scriptuers--it's just that his theological seminary had skewed his interpretation way off base, and had added a lot of things to it that were simply not there. Like hundreds of years of traditions of fallible religionists, for instance. And hypocrisy in criticizing others, not following the rulebook themselves.

Just sayin' --

or let someone else perform the wedding. Kim stated that she did not want her name attached to a gay marriage certificate. If that is the issue, then I see no problem finding someone else in the office or building whatever to do it. Perhaps her supervisor so she can continue working and not have her name on that certificate as she said she did not want.

There was no beggar in the parable.

Yeah, the story left out the thief-robbers, the priest, the Bible teacher, and the innkeeper, too.

She is the elected clerk. I don’t think she has a supervisor.

ABC’s Nightline just did a pro-sodomy propaganda piece that was typical showing the clerk as an old behind the times Christian hag who wouldn’t allow several gay couples who “love” each other to get married like other straight “Chriistian” couples can. The sodomites said they “were” going to get married in that building, in other words meaning they were going to force her o bend to their will one way or another (especially with a proffesional gilm crew emoldening them). I guess going to another county and getting married is out of the question for them( some place like Travis or Harris County where sodomy is celebrated). This is another “bake my cake bitch” moment. How I hate how the MSM always promotes evil. Satan owns the MSM.

I’d say he knows his subject matter a little too well first hand

Kentucky Clerk Didn’t Follow Christianity Before Converting To It

Isn't that a pretty common phenomenon?

Not as easy as that. She *is* the elected county clerk. In accordance with what *was* the law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, her signature, as duly elected county clerk *must* be on it to be legally valid. That the self-same law also stipulates that the married pair are to be gender-opposites is what complicates things.

SCOTUS, in its infinite wisdom (or lack thereof), struck down Kentucky law, along with about 30 other states in Obergefell v. Hodges. The Kentucky State Legislature has yet to draft new laws, and Ms. Kim has halted *all* marriage certificates, for anybody, in Rowan County, pending the establishment of new law by the legislature, who is tyhe proper authority for doing so, not a court, Federal, or otherwise...

If one is going to go down that road, shouldn’t the action that is taken in this case be to dismiss her, not to personally penalize her in some other manner. She is so obviously a focus of this new jihad, to punish for malice’s sake.

Trying to have their cake and eat it too. Oh she’s a Janey come lately, why should she be taken seriously!

I am the Greatest of Pharisees in my own way spending many years as a ‘religious hypocrite’.

I have been as ashamed of my past actions as Dr. Martin Luther King was about his consorting with prostitutes.

I guess that disqualifies me from having an opinion about gay marriage or other matters.

She's an elected official. She is subject to impeachment by the state legislature. I would imagine that if the voters of the county petitioned to do a special election for the purpose of recalling her, that could happen as well.

But she can't be dismissed, per se.

What I see is her doing what sanctuary cities and Barack Obama are doing.... following the laws they agree on and ignoring the ones they don’t and the left applauds them for it.

At this point, I really don’t care about moral purity. A hypocrite is an actor in the greek language. Most of the stuff about rights is an act, when you really think about it, with crickets chirping about Chris Stevens or the people pushed off buildings, or hung in Iranian streets.
