Carly Fiorina says that while we need to passionately protect religious liberty, it is inappropriate for a Kentucky county clerk to continue to refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses against a court order, because she is a government worker.
Carly says the clerk needs to do the governments will and issue the licenses or quit and move to another job where religious liberty is more paramount. She says it inappropriate for this clerk to practice civil disobedience as a government employee.

I believe that a recall is the tool for removal. Possibly impeachment if that’s allowed at the local level and the voters of that district feel strongly enough to implement it. I do recall she is a (D) and if she supported the Prez’s elections then she is reaping what she helped plant.
That's an important distinction here. I agree that a person in a position like this should quit a government job if their duties require them to choose between God and Caesar. Under those circumstances I would agree with a call for this woman to resign. What makes this case different, however, is that she apparently holds an elected office and therefore would answer first and foremost to her constituents -- not a Federal court.
I'm really interested to see how this plays out.
So why should any of us follow laws we don't like?
I'm all for that at this point. Precedent's been set and look who's leading by example, the muslim in chief!
there is nothing from stopping these fags from going to a neighboring county which will issue them a license.
The Clerk does much more then issue marriage license so your main lie is destroyed. 2nd her name goes on the marriage certificates so its much more then issuing a license its an affirmative act of endorsement of a sin which a Christian cannot do. No different here then if its a clerk issuing the paperwork to send Jews to gas chambers or ordering blacks back into slavery under YOUR (democrats) Jim Crow laws.
No surprise to see Fiorina stand up for perversion and the forces of evil.
I am saddened that there is only one clerk standing firm, and few supporting them.
RE: She took an oath to uphold the laws of the land.
Was the Dredd Scott decision the law of the land when the SCOTUS ruled on it?
She shouldn’t resign. A court clerk does more than just issue marriage licenses. I assume she’s largely doing her job. I’d say she just keep doing her thng until the people remove her if they decide to do that
Carly has shown her GOPe colors. Bye.
If she were a liberal clerk making a political statement for one of her pet causes there would be no problem with this to the national media or the establishment.
If you take the King's shilling
Yep. Obammy enforces and obeys the laws he chooses to. Her five doesn’t issue marriage licenses anymore. Easy enough
Deviant marriage isn’t the law of the land. The supreme court lacks the power to make it so.
Yes, we probably would permit a Muslim cleric to refuse to issue liquor licenses.
Sad to say, but I have no doubt an excuse would be made in 2015 Amerika.
In this case, it’s not even a law, but a 5-4 ruling from a kangaroo court that ignores its own function.
I know I’m not going to obey that court. Ever.
In fact, I think it should be disolved for abusing its power.
So anyone with any Christian (or Common sense) morality needs to quit or just "Follow Orders" on what any law the government says? So much for public servants, more like do whatever the dictators decree. Sounds like a nice stalinist regime you have in mind.
It's bullshit. If the "People" are in charge, even government employees should be able to disagree, remember what Hillary said about Bush in her Rant? "WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DISGREE!!!! Etc. etc.
Lib loser.
Sheriff’s are elected. If an elected official doesn’t do what the feds want they should resign?
Okay, then why haven’t you asked all sanctuary city mayors to resign???
