Carly Fiorina says that while we need to passionately protect religious liberty, it is inappropriate for a Kentucky county clerk to continue to refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses against a court order, because she is a government worker.
Carly says the clerk needs to do the government’s will and issue the licenses or quit and move to another job where religious liberty is more paramount. She says it inappropriate for this clerk to practice civil disobedience as a government employee.

Carly doesn’t understand. The government used SCOTUS to override the will of the people. It is an illegal order, and Americans should have rallied at SCOTUS when they were deciding this at the whim of an illegal president.
I think the GOPe told CNN to put Carly in the debate to try one more way to attack or take votes away from Trump. She’s even moving right by thanking Breitbart. Breitbart readers aren’t behind her. The tell will be how she interacts with Trump during the debate.

What about doing the people's will, Carly? Except for a few states, the people repeatedly voted against this, even in California.
She is not an employee. She is an elected official. She was elected to serve the people of her county. I have a feeling that the people of her county approve.

I assume there is more than one clerk. If it’s just one, maybe. Religious exemption could be a factor here. I keep waiting for a state to stop issuing marriage licenses all together and offering a legal union certificate. Marriage is not a government entity. It’s a religious entity. It’s time to separate the two. Then no clerk needs to worry, it’s just a legal document.
Correct! A point that's lost on about 99% of people who are commenting. She's not "discriminating" against homosexuals, she's refusing to issue ANY marriage licenses.
So, can't wait to see what the federal courts and the USSC are going to do now. Looks to me like they've messed with the wrong woman. We should pray for her. God has a purpose in all this that only He knows right now. Pray for his will to be done.

The clerk should be removed from office - right after President Obama is impeached and removed from office.
She's not the only clerk, the others are going along with her. Another fact that most people ignore, they assume she's just some dumb rube gone rogue. She's not.
Look, the SCOTUS messed up bigtime. Unless that can be changed, we're screwed and so is she.

She took an oath to uphold the laws of the land.
She should resign, and start the process of overturning the laws she doesn’t like.
Religion should have no bearing on how a civil servant does their job.
