I assume there is more than one clerk. If it’s just one, maybe. Religious exemption could be a factor here. I keep waiting for a state to stop issuing marriage licenses all together and offering a legal union certificate. Marriage is not a government entity. It’s a religious entity. It’s time to separate the two. Then no clerk needs to worry, it’s just a legal document.
She's not the only clerk, the others are going along with her. Another fact that most people ignore, they assume she's just some dumb rube gone rogue. She's not.
It is my understanding that Oklahoma has done this. They did it specifically to prevent clerks from being required to issue pervert "marriage" licenses.
Kentucky should toss their marriage certificates too, and thereby tell the Court to go F*** itself.
