John Boehner Calls Sen. Ted Cruz a “JackA$$” at Colorado Fundraiser

Speaker John Boehner held a fundraiser this week in Steamboat Springs for Rep. Scott Tipton. Boehner referred to Senator Ted Cruz as a “jacka$$” during his speech. The Daily Caller reported:

Speaker of the House John Boehner stunned audience members Wednesday evening at a Colorado fundraiser by referring to Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz as a “jackass,” two people in attendance tell The Daily Caller.

At a Steamboat Springs event for GOP Rep. Scott Tipton, the Ohio Republican quipped that he likes how Cruz’s presidential campaign keeps “that jackass” out of Washington, and from telling Boehner how to do his job.

That remark rubbed some attendees the wrong way.

“I don’t think it’s terribly speaker-like, and I think it kind of goes against everything that Reagan ever said about disparaging Republicans,” said Ed MacArthur, the president of Native Excavating, who attended the fundraiser.

Cruz on Republican leadership corruption and sellout......

That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, “We’re asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.

Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, that’s what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because we’re scared of this issue. We don’t want to have a political fight on this.

But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.

Now, I was sitting there — to be honest, I hadn’t gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, “There’s no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, I’ll fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.”

If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.

This guy has to go - period. He is both a drunk and an idiot, and apparently tone deaf, as well. The fact that GOP reps actually look at this guy and see leadership qualities says a lot about the overall lack of intelligence of this group. They can fix that perception by giving Boehner the boot.

Boehner’s mafia-like tactics are used to gain support for bills that ultimately enable Obama instead of stopping the unconstitutional behavior of this regime. American’s have been demanding that representatives stop Obama. Recall that it was Boehner who took impeachment off the table. Boehner’s lap dogs attempt to make a case for Boehner’s success with the claim that Boehner has passed more bills than any other Congress in history—mostly bills that support Obama’s agenda thus Liberal media is also supportive of Boehner. However, most Americans understand the principles of our constitutional founding, and thus understand that the success of Congress is NOT measured by how many bills Congress can pass… but rather by how many bills they can prevent and block—the slow percolation of legislation.(Click For More)

From the day he arrived, Boehner made it clear that out lobbyists wouldn’t get past his receptionists until we wrote out checks for the maximum amounts allowed and that if we wanted consideration for our legisaltive initiatives, those checks had better keep coming.

He demanded invitations to Realtor conventions at locations where he could play golf. Boehner cares more for golf than he does for the needs of his constituents. In 2009, his campaign fund spent $82,998 for golf outings for himself and his cronies.(Click For More)

A September 2010 New York Times story said Boehner was "Tightly Bound to Lobbyists" and "He maintains especially tight ties with a circle of lobbyists and former aides representing some of the nation’s biggest businesses, including Goldman Sachs, Google, Citigroup, R.J. John Boehner will be the new Speaker of the House. Boehner is a corrupt, votes for sale, old-school politician. He doesn’t give a damn about the people who elected him to office. All he cares about are the fat-cat lobbyists who deliver the big Political Action Committee Checks.(Click For More)

In June 1995, Boehner distributed campaign contributions from tobacco industry lobbyists on the House floor as House members were weighing how to vote on tobacco subsidies. In a 1996 documentary by PBS called The People and the Power Game, Boehner said "They asked me to give out a half dozen checks quickly before we got to the end of the month and I complied. And I did it on the House floor, which I regret. I should not have done. It's not a violation of the House rules, but it's a practice that‘s gone on here for a long time that we're trying to stop and I know I'll never do it again."(Click For More)

Boehner sobs when others are celebrating. It’s something deeper: Boehner cries for Boehner. In 2010, for instance, Boehner cried because he won an award from the anti-abortion group Americans United for Life. In exactly the same way he cried about not being able to see kids at school because he longs for them to achieve the American dream like he did, Boehner’s reaction to the award was purely narcissistic: He seemed to be crying about his own childhood and the pain he felt in his own youth, not for the constituency that gave him the award: “I have 11 brothers and sisters,” he blubbered, “I know it wasn’t convenient for my mom to have 12 of us, but I’m sure glad they’re all here.”(Read more Here)

I have emails concerning Boehner's crying. I am trying to find a source to verify those. It is said that Boehner has been coached. He has been given "acting lessons" as it were. His "crying" is as phoney as everything else he does.

The Speaker is fast becoming a major embarrassment to Southwestern Ohioans. Ted Cruz is far more representative of Southern Ohio values than is John Boehner.

This is very sad. Having a Speaker of the House, once again, is something we would have really wanted to take pride in. But these antics are just disgraceful.
