Appearing with Zogby was Craig Shirley, president of Shirley & Bannister Public Relations, who said of the billionaire developer who remains the GOP frontrunner:
"An old political consultant, Ronald Reagan's campaign manager, John Sears, said politics is motion and the one person in this race who does seem to understand that axiom is Donald Trump.
Shirley said Trump's appeal lies more with the "Joe Six Pack, blue collar, lunch bucket crowd" than it does with the "country club elites."
"It's interesting that so many populist leaders over the past, both Democratic and Republican, whether it's Teddy Roosevelt or Franklin Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan, came out of the middle class or even the upper classes," he said.
"Some came out of the military elites, but they saw for themselves the corruption of the elites and in fact led populist upheavals in America and we're seeing that today."

I am not a fan of Trump as he is not solid conservative. But I am glad he is bringing some of the conservative issues to the forefront of the race. Which makes me wonder if this mentality of Trump has to burn out, or go away is just some kind of wishful thinking.

This guy is an idiot. There is no indication - ZERO - that Trump is running out of gas. In fact, it’s quite the contrary. He’s picking up speed and has tons of money. I watched CNN cover Trump for over 2 hours last night. He said he turned down a $5M donation because he doesn’t need the money and doesn’t want to owe anyone anything.
He’s getting lots of small donations and drawing huge crowds. He may peeter out - but it’s not close to happening yet.

Money? Who needs money if you’re Trump? Really? Trump has been living rent-free in the collective minds and coverage of the media, pundits and the GOPe for at least a couple months now. All he has to do is to get ANYWHERE and say whatever is on his mind and all that’s free except for the jet ride in his plane.
I have not seen to date any advertised political commercial from his campaign. Maybe there are but it seems to me he’s getting so much coverage he doesn’t need to spend money.

Trump has just started on his first subject, illegal immigration. There are plenty more about which he can be outrageous. He just needs to look for things that strike a chord.
How ‘bout proposing national “Castle Doctrine,” Open Carry, Concealed Carry, and “Make My Day” laws that rip holes in the idiotic anti-self defense laws common in liberal states? Or a national “There is no such thing as an ‘Assault Weapon’” law?
That has to be outrageous enough to keep on going for another month or two.

You know what is odd? When I watch him doing these rallies, I forget that he is a billionaire. He seems to Joe Six Pack - not an elitist or snob - just like an average American, who has billions of dollars. LOL
