Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is slated to hold a private roundtable meeting with local officials Monday to discuss border security issues as well as related economic and community issues, according to former Pharr commissioner A. Jimmy Garza.
After the meeting, the former Florida governor is set to have a news conference at 2:30 p.m. inside Palenque Grill, 606 E. Expressway 83 in McAllen, where he plans to touch on the discussions hell have with the undisclosed officials, said Garza, whos a Republican. Bush is also planning a private luncheon at noon, which costs at least $1,000 to attend.
Those who want to attend the luncheon and also take a photo with Bush can shell out $2,700, $7,500 or $15,000 depending on your preference on seat selection for the luncheon

What? He’s fluent in Spanish, so you’d think he’d want to show off.
The worst kind of message is being sent here.
A presidential candidate doesn’t want to be seen as ‘transparent’, instead ‘a private roundtable meeting with local officials’ tells the voters the worst kind of wheeling and dealing style.
I would question strongly those who run his campaign.

That is funny, sad and infuriating all at the same time. This guy and his posse just plain suck.

I wonder if Jeb will throw in a complimentary $75 guacamole bowl to the fools who give him $15,000...
I am very disappointed that, having run for political office over 17 years (and actually winning), no one has ever offered my anything or paid to have their photos taken with me. Something really wrong there. Hmmmmmmmmmmm? (sarc)
Well, maybe at the $15,000 level, but the more I learn about The Dynasty, the more I believe that even a complimentary toothpick would be begrudged by that bunch of opportunists.

I want to see pics of ¡Heb! crossing the border and swimming back.
Trump should show up for a visit just to troll Bush.
McAllen is pretty close to the border, and is about as close as you can fly into a tower-controlled airport. But, what Bush should do is go up the highway and interview some of the Texas DPS personnel manning one of the many Texas DPS roadblocks that exist on the highways in the area. This would show the amount of resources Texas is devoting, and the amount of resources that Obama is not!
Jeb is avoiding the border because he doesn’t want Americans to see the thousands of adoring Mexican supporters that would show up for him...............on the Mexican side of the border.
