Were still over five months from the Iowa caucuses and astoundingly its increasingly looking like the 2016 presidential election, not just the nomination, is Donald Trumps to lose.
Its not only the polls, which are swinging his way. He has changed the nature of our electoral politics into a reality show with himself as star. Read his interview in Wednesdays Hollywood Reporter if youre looking for confirmation. Everybody else in both parties looks boring by comparison. We pretend to be interested in the others but Donald is all we really care about, even bourgeois liberal critics when they try to dismiss him. (The WaPos David Ignatius is now likening Trump to Putin, as if Donald were about to invade the Crimea. Well, he might put a hotel there.)

LOL. That definitely upstages Putin.
Well, it could be nothing. (800 -800 = 0)
But I thought he was one of them damn yankees.
You can’t be a conservative and believe in single payer socialized medicine. The VA, of which Trump is so critical, is the military’s single payer socialized medicine plan.
I’ll agree with that.
Trump/Carson... interesting.
I still like Trump/Cruz.
Oh geez, stop being silly. If you don’t know the exact number (855, 823, 864, 808) then you say it’s down “800+” which simply means between 800 and above. I guess we should wait for the markets to close and be accurate, eh?
Here, the DOW was -530.94 for Friday. Feel better?
Ok.good grief.
If Trump is smart then he can leverage his saviness about the markets and use the fact than under the
“corrupt Washington Obama and the other beltway mobsters” the markets fell more than 5% or more than 800 pts in two days to his advantage...I.e., using a crisis and not letting it go to waste.
Fixed.
I can’t wait until Trump does a campaign ad with the eagle. LOL!
What 3 things conservatives elected to congress have done for you?
You may need to get more up-to-date information on Trump’s healthcare plans. Stop regurgitating GOPe-JebBush’s talking points about Trump’s positions from years ago, and quoted out of context..
Time to move from denial to acceptance and get on the Trump train before you get left at the station. :-)
I’m pretty heavily involved in aspects of #3...and I have been surprised at the number and intensity of 2nd A supporters in NY.
So...you are right (in my experience) and I think your point #3 is very important.
I hope Trump comes out as strongly pro gun.
“What is Trumps position on same sex marriage?
Affirmative action?
Socialized medicine (not Obamacare)?
If hes for any of the above, hes not a conservative.”
I really don’t care about the over and under, what i do care about is his strong message about no politician, no PC, illegals, borders and jobs, etc.
What you’ve described is basically what happened in New York on the mayoral level. After the self-congratulatory glow wore off, New Yorkers had to deal with what was actually happening in the city, which resulted in a get-tough mayor named Giuliani after one term of Dinkins. I expect Trump saw this too.
There are parallels aren’t there? Teddy is whom I think of.
He did well tonight, it is a stump speech interspersed with items of the day. There are still things he says that should be throwaway and things that are less than neutral, just don’t need to be said.
