NEW YORK (Reuters) - For months, the U.S. State Department has stood behind its former boss Hillary Clinton as she has repeatedly said she did not send or receive classified information on her unsecured, private email account, a practice the government forbids.
While the department is now stamping a few dozen of the publicly released emails as "Classified," it stresses this is not evidence of rule-breaking. Those stamps are new, it says, and do not mean the information was classified when Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner in the 2016 presidential election, first sent or received it.
But the details included in those "Classified" stamps — which include a string of dates, letters and numbers describing the nature of the classification — appear to undermine this account, a Reuters examination of the emails and the relevant regulations has found.
The new stamps indicate that some of Clinton's emails from her time as the nation's most senior diplomat are filled with a type of information the U.S. government and the department's own regulations automatically deems classified from the get-go — regardless of whether it is already marked that way or not.

Clinton and her senior staff routinely sent foreign government information among themselves on unsecured networks several times a month, if the State Department’s markings are correct. Within the 30 email threads reviewed by Reuters, Clinton herself sent at least 17 emails that contained this sort of information. In at least one case it was to a friend, Sidney Blumenthal, not in government.
The information appears to include privately shared comments by a prime minister, several foreign ministers and a foreign spy chief, unredacted bits of the emails show. Typically, Clinton and her staff first learned the information in private meetings, telephone calls or, less often, in email exchanges with the foreign officials.
In an email from November 2009, the principal private secretary to David Miliband, then the British foreign secretary, indicates that he is passing on information about Afghanistan from his boss in confidence. He writes to Huma Abedin, Clinton’s most senior aide, that Miliband “very much wants the Secretary (only) to see this note.”

I hope her arrest date is September 2016.
Her argument (which the article now destroys) might have had legal merit.
But no more. If this is how the diplomatic world rules on classified information, that any (non-electronic) information from foreign sources is always presumed confidential at least, she is in major trouble.
OK, so as SOS she WAS getting some classified emails... if none of those on her server were not classified (yeah, right) WHERE were the classified emails she received going? To another server?

There you have it in a nutshell. This is the exact reason why those with access to classified info are NOT to use anything that is not totally secured. Her mania to keep her deals hidden hopefully will lead to her downfall from grace. Unfortunately, I think it will require the equal of a constitutional amendment to get her prosecuted.

I am confused too. She sets up this server for convenience to do her work. But to do her job she would need to be able to receive and send classified materials as well as unclassified. But if she only received and sent unclassified materials on this server, how could she do her job?
Hillary isn’t dumb. She’s corrupt to the core. She did this intentionally but thought she could get away it.

The information it reveals suggests HRC was not only being negligent in the performance of her duties, but criminal!

I agree and thought this from day one. The information she had to deal with everyday was inherently such that it would be classified. The level of damage that it would do to US interests, which is how a determination is made of classification - confidential, secret, and top secret - might not be obvious in a verbal discussion that then gets put into an email. Still, you know when you deal with sensitive and obviously classified information that you do not send it unencrypted over a NIPR network. It’s so wrong and so foolish that only a Clinton would try to tell the public this is fine.
I know she’s quite gross. Isn’t it funny that the Democrats are forced to sell her to their base as young, hip, and inspirational.
If not Hillary, why the Rosenbergs?
All possible connections WRT these activites and donations to the buck-raking Clinton Foundation must be explored. The cunning Clintons are hiding plenty.....however, the smirking Sid Blumenthal's emails should sound numerous L/E alarms.
DOCUMENTED CONSPIRACY AND COLLUSION TO DECEIVE: In 2009, the Clintons duped the public, the Clinton Foundation's Board of Directors, and its wealthy donors by announcing Sidney Blumenthal, a long-time adviser to both Clintons, had been hired...... (wait for it) "to work at the Clinton Foundation on a project to promote Bill Clinton’s presidential legacy. "

But Sid's secret emails show that, while on the foundation payroll, ostensibly "promoting Bill's legacy," Blumenthal fed back-channel, usually unreliable, intelligence reports on Libya to then-Secy of State Clinton.
Hillary sent Sid's reports on to senior State official without attribution......as if they were her analyses.
