Hi Luv!
I have no idea what this quiz was about, I just sprained my ankle yesterday and got stung in the neck by a venomous insect, waiting for a reaction, and don’t know if i will be spending the night in the ER.
As Charlie Brown would say:
Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You Are A MOJO Permian Panther |
You are an easygoing person, and you try not to get too rattled. You are very level headed. You are a supportive friend and an overall good person. You do your best to always do the right thing.
You can be a bit of an introvert, but you are also quite funny. People who pay attention will notice your wit. You sometimes get a bit withdrawn when you're annoyed. You prefer keeping to yourself to having a confrontation....except if your team is dissed! :) MOJO...MOJO....MOJO..... ;) |

Good evening, Connie, and thanks for the tributes to our troops.
Any interesting happenings on your commute? Critters along the way?
Rain is coming here...the valley has BAD Weather warnings for torrential rain and quarter size rain. We might get some of the rain.

I lived the Friday Night Lights having been reared in Texas. In 1970 our little team played five state champions in Texas that year, WF High, Brownwood, Iowa Park, and two in Oklahoma. The Harris ratings had our little team as having one of the best defenses in the state in classes 2,3, and 4A. We just didn't have any offense. We also played the toughest schedule in the state. I cannot believe its been 45 years.

Well, it’s sort of about football! LOL! I had to pick graphics, so I chose those that I support...but they are just 2 of many!
Sorry about your injuries! Sounds like your Monday was just yukky! Hope you feel better soon!....and hope you don’t get a reaction from the insect bite! Are you allergic to any that you know of?
Taz [aka TASMANIANRED] could advise you if she were around more. :)

That is awesome! We Texans bleed Friday Night Lights! My son and I both graduated from Permian...the REAL Friday Night Lights story! :)
Nothing like Texas football! :) Starts in elementary and through college. We won’t talk about the Cowgirls. LOL!

That’s a relief! Give it 24 hours before ignoring it...just to make sure. Do you know what it was that stung you?
I hate any kind of insect stings/bites! Nasty mean little devils! LOL!

It may have been a nasty killer bee, as it left its stinger behind. I actually yanked it off my throat, dashed it to the ground, and ground it to a pulp with my cane. I was ready to draw on it, but that would have been irresponsible of me. LOL.

Well, not to brag or anything, but I played a little high school football.
I was part of the famous “Mad Dog Defense”.
We earned that name when the Defense Coach said that the Head Coach would “Have to be as crazy as a mad dog” to ever put us in a game.
Let’s see who I would be.
You Are The Kicking Tee.
Figures. It’s been one of those days.

Hi Luv!
I’m Tyra Collette, whoever that is.
You are as wild as they come, and anyone who has tried to tame you has failed miserably.
You are action oriented and often don’t think before you act. You are trying to find more positive ways to channel your energy.
You are good at finding trouble but also at getting yourself out of trouble. You are tough and resilient.
You are deeper than you seem, and you yearn for meaning in your life. You wouldn’t mind a fresh start.
Really, if this is a quiz about high school, I didn’t like it. I didn’t socialize much (on further review, I did not socialize at all). I flew under the radar biding my time until it was over. No prom, no football games, no parties, nothing. One of my teachers even wrote a note to my parents that it would be a shame if I didn’t go to college. I have not gone to any reunions or had any contact with the place. I walked out the door and never looked back.

*HUGS*
Indeed I am late - a situation I find disconcerting. Just started a new project and I'm working late - got home after 8:30 and by the time I had a chance to have dinner it was well after 9:00.
Tonight is a night of great significance to me - 46 years ago - 18 August 1969 - I was out on an early morning mission with my Platoon - to recover one of our squads that had been ambushed during the night when we were ambushed. I took an AK in the back, ending my career as a combat Corpsman.
As I lay wounded, the men of my platoon laid down a heavy field of fire that doubtless saved my life. I had only recently been assigned to Lima Company and did not know the men as I did the men of Kilo. One thing I will never forget is looking to one side as I was lying prone and seeing a young Marine in crouched position laying down magazine after magazine from his M-16 without shrinking from his crouched pose. I believe that young Marine saved my life. That young Marine was a man of color with whom I had never spoken and whom I have never met in later life.
Two things I carry from this vignette - first, Marines take care of their own and will not suffer a Brother being left behind. Second, any vestiges of racial prejudice I may have held prior to that day were purged for all time.
I raising a glass of Single Malt Scotch to that young Marine and to all my Brothers, Fallen, Veteran, Retired and Serving!
God Bless them; God Bless them all; God Bless them good!
And God Bless the United States of America!

Evening Navy Bro, that's one hell of a story.
God Bless the young Marine who came to your aid and of course we're glad you made it back to the world.

Hiya Luvvy and thanks for tonight's Canteen.
Sorry, but I have no idea what Friday Night Lights is, I assume it's a TV show or a movie.
But I do know that Friday night high school football is big in Texas.

Good evening, Army Bro! I am indeed glad to be alive, much to the chagrin of responsible observers everywhere.
And now, in the Autumn of our lives, duty calls again.
