Friday night on CNN, top GOP consultant Rick Wilson attacked 25% of Republican primary voters as “low information voters.” Saturday morning, Breitbart News reported this fact and argued that attacking our own voters as stupid might not be the key to victory. Monday, quite incredibly, Rick Wilson used a threat of rape against his own daughter as a political talking point to attack Breitbart News:

Erickson spent 10 years in Dubai, which sort of makes his choice of insults (as well as a few other things) make sense.

They blew all those threats off, they were just threats against what they consider to be just another of the “peons” (they see Palin as a peon who rose above her level, and they only tolerate democracy as long as they can rig it in their favor.) And the media figures making the threats were of “their own”, fellow “important people”, so it was all just yuks when they did it.

Good point, and anyway, why take their word for anything? These are the same types who smeared Chris McDaniel as a KKK-card-carrying racist, and the allegation was as good as evidence, which they never came up with. They only get squeamish about gutter tactics when they’re the victims, because none of them ever called anyone out from the left or the GOPe when they did them. But we should just take their word that these things happened, and that they have already found proof that the threats were from conservatives.
Once you report such threat to the LE, there are certain advice/procedures LE tells you to do. One of them is to NOT tell it online, broadcast all over the web.
Wilson said he reported the threat to LE, but he’s trumpeting the threat on tweeter/etc. Never responded to other pundits (who faced such threats, including Nolte) of questioning him tweeting it out.
WHICH, consider the source, makes me doubt Rick Wilson very much.
Neither do I, but I won’t hold my breath waiting for proof that it either even happened, or that there’s proof that it was from a verfiable conservative. Especially in light of their lack of response to such, and worse, attacks on people like Sarah Palin. She’s gotten a stream of these types of attacks over the years, and they’ve never said one word in her defense. Not one, not even a weasel-worded rejections of the “politics of personal smear”. Not once.

Yeah, I agree and I think that’s behind Cheri Jacobus and this guy going to completely nuts recently. The consulting class is feeling the earth move under their feet and the money being sucked from their wallets.
