Letter to Editor PREDICTED COLORADO EPA SPILL So EPA Could Secure Superfund Status
Gateway Pundit ^ | August 12, 2015 | Jim Hoft

Last Wednesday, a small EPA-supervised work crew inspecting the Gold King mine accidentally knocked a hole in a waste pit, releasing at least three million gallons of acidic liquid laden with toxic heavy metals. (ABC)

This letter to editor, posted below, was published in The Silverton Standard and The Miner local newspaper, authored by a retired geologist, one week before EPA mine spill. The letter detailed verbatim, how EPA officials would foul up the Animas River on purpose in order to secure superfund money. It the Gold King mine was declared a superfund site it would essentially kill future development for the mining industry. The Obama EPA is vehemently opposed to mining and development

The EPA pushed for nearly 25 years, to apply its Superfund program to the Gold King mine. If a leak occurred the EPA would then receive superfund status. That is exactly what happened.

The EPA today admitted they misjudged the pressure in the gold mine before the spill – just as this editorial predicted.

The letter was included in their print edition on July 30, 2015. The spill occurred one week later.

Here is what needs to be done NOW! Get the local counties, states and indian tribes to hire a private organization to get out there and stem that flow downstream.
They could use mill felt..a type of screen used in paper mills in the primary part of making paper. Get that felt out and install it halfway across the river in a part of the river that is slow and shallow. Halfway across one side, then halfway across downstream a ways. Make that water zigzag so the water flows into that felt which will collect at least some of the contaminates. Do this in as many places as can be done. Then take portable drudges and suck the contaminates off the screens (felt) and discharge it into containment ponds dug Along the river banks about 2 to 300 feet from the water edge. Let that water stay and evaporate. What would be left is the contaminates.
What this would require is the mill felt/screen, piling material such as 7x9 timbers by whatever length, a pile driver. excavators to dug the retaining ponds and liner to line the bottom.
I fear its is too late as the finger pointing has begun and they are busy wringing their hands.
I have seen these things done and it works.

Excellent point!

But it got into lake Powell sometime on Sunday; they told people in the San Juan arm of Lake Powell not to drink or swim in there.

EPA whistleblower on August 12 2015, 3:33pm The EPA is a long history of environmental “false flag” operations. The Animas creek toxic waste release was a planned and coordinated event to allow Obama to move into Colorado with billions of dollars of federal cleanup funds. I have no doubt that the highest levels of Colorado government was notified of the release well before it happened...it is amazing that you libs in Colorado would allow that communist to do this to you.

chukalukabus on August 12 2015, 3:35pm What do expect when your governing philosophy is based on “never let a good crisis go to waste.” No crisis on hand to grab power? Create one.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Gobbels:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

This corrupt ‘agency’ given to us by Nixon has done more to hurt this country than almost any other.

This is catastrophic and the response (particularly to the Navaho Nation) is nothing short of atrocious

And the lowest intake for Las Vegas water was opened some time ago because of low water levels.

Take stuff will stay suspended for some time and it will get to Lake Mead.

Think on that. Lowest water intake..settles near bottom.

This will make it to the national news stations. It should, but it won’t. The msm will be instructed to flood the headlines with the latest on the Kardashians and Jenner.
