Pundits have largely deemed Thursday's debate a misstep for real estate mogul Donald Trump, but he may have won over billionaire investor Carl Icahn.
The activist investor tweeted Friday afternoon that he had decided to accept a Trump offer for Treasury secretary. Still, he noted that "the methods of electing our corporate and political leaders have become completely dysfunctional."

If he did indeed have any other agenda aside from saving the country, I don’t think he and Cruz would be on as pleasant terms as they are. I’m sure Cruz would see through it and call Trump out. That’s the main reason I discount the Hillary ringer talk.

Excellent. Not only getting on board, but bringing up a crucial issue- the vulnerability to fraud in our election systems, of his own. Those who claim Trump is doing this for Hillary, are so far removed from any knowledge of finances. They do not understand that $10 Billion in assets means next 100 generations of Trumps will EACH inherit $100 Million. Why would Trump want to go through all this trouble of running for president just to help Hillary? At age 69? While living the most luxurious lifestyle? These people have no clue.
