Donald Trump and the Fox News Channel are in talks about Trump possibly appearing on Fox on Monday night, according to a source with knowledge of the talks.
Trump has been lambasting Fox for days, ever since he was challenged in last week's GOP debate.
It is "highly unlikely" Trump would appear at 9 p.m. with host Megyn Kelly, the source said, and that's probably an understatement. Trump has repeatedly and personally insulted Kelly in recent days.
But talks are underway about a Trump interview with another prime time host, like Sean Hannity, the source said, adding that nothing had been confirmed as of Monday morning.
In the meantime, Fox has dramatically ratcheted down its coverage of Trump. It hasn't covered Trump's criticisms of Kelly and the two other debate moderators, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier.
Trump's most recent tweet about Fox came on Sunday afternoon: "It amazes me that other networks seem to treat me so much better than Fox News. I brought them the biggest ratings in history, and I get zip!"
This is a true clash of titans. Fox News is the favored network of Republicans, and Trump is the Republican campaign front-runner.

Gee? Maybe he reads FreeRepublic? Or the dozens of other places the interview has been linked. Too bad was hoping sshe’d be on the cover of the National Enquiror
Fox better bend before they get broken. Trump will not lose this war. Too many Fox viewers like me are pizzed off beyond belief.
Fox News owes Donald Trump an apology. I don’t care who actually says the words but somebody needs to do it.
If Trump had a news network—It sould feature Clint Eastwood. Sarah Palin’s Alaska, The NRA Hour, and Country Times. It sould be Patriotic in a decent and good way—not symbolism—but true love of country.
Suggested changes for a meaningful and informative exchange (the three-hour time slot should accommodate this):
1) Neutral moderators who stay in the background
2) Rather than narrow, often meaningless and stupid questions, that are given to only certain candidates (what a stupid format - cant compare that way with the moderators picking for their own purposes who answers which issue), instead revolve the discussion around four or five generally-agreed top issues of the day: a) big government vs. the Constitution b) the economy c) illegal immigration d) foreign policy e) national security
3) An open discussion of each issue, one issue at a time for a certain time period. Maybe each with brief opening statements on the issue, then opening it up to any and all to participate. This would of course also allow for meaningful open discussion and debate allowing the audience to actually compare and contrast the candidates, instead of these stupid 30-second sound bytes.
You may have to have some sessions that will mirror the 2016 General Election debate format to see how Republican candidates would do against Hillary or whoever the Socialist Democratic Party candidate is.
On a serious note, if someone with courage like Trump doesn't start the war to take our country back, it doesn't even matter that there are other issues. Our goose is cooked.
Who called whom?
If FoxNews called Trump, they either want to try to capitalize on their 24 million viewership or they got so many complaints they fear losing regular viewership.
If Trump called FoxNews ... I don’t see that as being what happened.
onyx, what have you been up to?....;)
It's a good thing he doesn't appear with MeGynocology. He'd be dripping in whatever-blood by the end of the interview.
I agree. The God question really ticked me off.
They are both OTR.
That would be wonderful and refreshing.
Brett Baier “lecturing”....
Humorous, coming from a guy who reminds me of a ‘50’s cartoon or board game character.

Yes there is a picture of the Palins, the Trumps and Greta and her husband posing with Billy Graham the day of his last sermon. Many good ties between the group
O Really father bought his home from Fred Trump in the Queens They go back a long way. And old friend who knew each other when. The best friends. It may be the reason Bill has been absent since the debate
I agree. Greta is dignified, dresses like a professional woman, and I have not heard her ask gotcha questions.
I’m sick of “fair and balanced.” All that means is you “balance” the truth and values with lies and debauchery.

Oh really, check out innocent @megynkelly discussion on @HowardStern show 5 years agoI am the innocent (pure) one!
BOOM! BAM!
Just on facebook alone, if you added up all the comments, replies to comments and "Likes" millions voiced outrage over Foxes handling of the "debate" (ambush). Foxnews is toast. Should Trump appear any time soon sans an apology I will rethink my support of him.
Foxnews is toast because, in front of 24 million viewers they attack anti-establishment moderates and conservatives. Who are Foxnews viewers? Anti-establishment moderates and conservatives. Foxnews attacked their own viewers! Foxnews is toast million of viewers will not be tuning in. CNN is about to get a big rating boost.
Exactly, ALL of us knew from past episodes Trump’s personality and demeanor. He is as ego driven as the high, kinky haired, dark won. He is full of hot air, a bully, a blowhard, and some of us feel he might not treat females with respect - even though some females deserve absolutely NO such regard. We knew what the man was. We tuned in to discover how he would govern! The entire chaotic evening was a waste of time, unhealthy view of just how far down the drain our country has gone. Fox is the drain.
Two hours of time with candidates of Trumps choice joining him. A journalist asking topics related to issues
