For those that are thinking Fiorina is a good choice to get behind, that she is a good debater, goes hard after hitlery, etc., it's incumbent on all of us to know who she REALLY is:
A few tidbits:
When the police in Baltimore were arrested she said 'we all breathed a sigh of relief' (all over the interwebs)
In 2008, Fiorina supported the Wall Street Bailout known as TARP and even advocated that it was insufficient. (Fox News)
Fiorina supported portions of the Obama stimulus, particularly broadband subsidies. ....(Information Week)
Fiorina called on more government intervention into the housing market. (Fox News)
Fiorina has advocated for increased federal government involvement in schools, mainly with funding, as the solution to America losing jobs overseas unless the nation improves grade-school education and doubles federal spending on basic research. (SF Gate)
In 1989 Fiorina wrote a masters dissertation on education that concluded with the belief, I have ended by believing that we will never meet our own expectations of public education unless the federal government is willing to play a consistent, long-term role; (Flash Report)
She is just another bimbo/wench/broad/menstruator with no business in this race....SCREW the day a broad is president....of America.
Carly is PROUD of being a Loser.. like: Obama his wookie, Biden and Anthony Weiner..
I follow the carson mindset in that it’s not skin color, race, religion even, that makes or breaks a persons ability to lead. It is their mind. I’d take a female president all day long if she was a solid conservative. Female for female sake is a bogus argument.
Same for the black president trap we fell into as a nation. Good God.....help us.
But—but—she’s a woman—and she doesn’t like Trump—she must be perfect. LOL
...although I will say, I REALLY don’t want a non Christian again (ever) in the WH.
Someone that follows the one true God’s precepts is the only one that will lead us out of the mire.
I know there must be some competent conservative women out there. However, I am not looking for a specific gender in a candidate. I want them to be the best for the job.
Can’t think of a face I’d rather not see for four years, Hillary or Carl - or ever again for that matter.
You’re absolutely right GeronL.
I sit back somewhat in amazement at conservatives going nuts over Trump. Yeah, Fiorina isn’t a conservative. Trump also supported the stimulus. He supported the Wall Street bailout. He supported the auto bailouts. He advocated taxing the wealthy, has been pro choice, pro abortion, pro universal health care, etc. Yeah, people’s views evolve and change. But typically not when they’re past middle age and not practically overnight.
I get that Trump has tapped into what a lot of conservatives and a lot of Americans are frustrated about- the tone deafness of the political class. And I don’t mind terribly I guess if he’s just drawing our attention for a while and then goes away.
But if he lasts for the long haul, he’s another narcissist. Electing a narcissist worked really well with Obama. And I can easily see him not getting along with Congress. Which, most of them suck, so that’s not such a bad thing. But then I can easily see him going the Obama route and saying, “You know what, screw it. I’m the president, I’ll do what I want.” Which of course ain’t exactly constitutional.
It’s fine for people to like some of what Trump has said and done. But ultimately, we don’t have to pick a candidate merely because he has the LOUDEST voice.
Thank you!
Yes, she is a p.c. social liberal. She’ll fit in fine with the uniparty. But they want Bush or Hillary and not her or anyone else.
>> I'm a fan of neither, but I want to understand the "rules" here. <<
I'm also a fan of neither, but the various candidates cheerleaders will always make an exception to the rules for their own candidate. For example, its an unforgivable sin for Rick Santorum to endorse Romney in 2008 when the only choices left were Romney, McCain, Huckabee (even though 95% of freepers on this very forum did the SAME THING as Santorum at that time, I remember it well). However, according to Carly defenders, its just fine and dandy for her to be tied to the hip of McCain and then become a top Romney advisor in 2008, because she's become "much more conservative" since then.
