Fox News is facing a backlash from conservatives after critics felt the network was biased and unfair in the manner it approached the forum for the Republican presidential candidates' debate Thursday, and namely, Donald Trump.
According to Media Equalizer, tens of thousands of observers swamped social media with criticism of Fox and the moderators, with some comments attracting more than 2,000 "likes."
"This was shameful. You and Fox News did not treat the candidates fairly. You tried to make Donald J. Trump look foolish. All you did was make Fox News look foolish."
"Donald J. Trump still has my vote," said one post which appeared on the network's Facebook page and received over 2,200 "likes" just two hours after it was posted.
Another post representative of the sentiment was addressed to Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly and Fox News. It said the two "should be ashamed of themselves for their unfair demeanor towards Donald Trump. They apparently had their own agenda. Trump still did his thing though! #Trump2016"
"Megyn, you're an embarrassment to journalism. I wanted to watch a presidential debate, not a hit job by you and Fox," another observer wrote.
Twitter was also flooded with criticism of Kelly and Fox.
"Tonight's debate loser: Fox News," said one post.
"#GOPDebate NOT A DEBATE! It's @FoxNews vs @realDonaldTrump! What a disgrace! @magynkelly & @BretBaier shameful! #tcot," said another.
"WTF @FoxNews ???????? THIS DEBATE IS A SETUP TO SLAM EVERYBODY EXCEPT JEB BUSH. YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED AT THIS JOURNALISTIC DISHONESTY," yet another poster commented.
For his part, Trump lashed out at Kelly on his Twitter page.

I don’t think they get any part of it at all. The government has it’s little show with all it’s little actors, and it is going to go the way they say it’s going to go, or there is going to be Hell to pay.

you just aren’t paying attention. before the big meeting, trump did his usual, “I don’t know who he is or what he wants, but he wants to meet with me” song and dance on the morning joe show with Mika — which is his favorite venue. and that ought to tell you something.
trump dismissed cruz like a gladbag full of picnic garbage.
And if Yeb is the nominee, the election is lost anyway, so who the hell cares if Trump runs 3rd party?
I’m sorry, but Fiorina freaks me out every time she ends her statement with that freakish, facelift smile of hers. It’s like it’s right on cue and so phony. I think she’s very smart, a good speaker and an excellent Clinton basher. But, I think she is too phony for my taste, and the smile, is just, weird.

Hey, lets start a photo album. Please add those trashy photos of Ms. Kelly and that all telling photo of Jeb and Valerie Jarrett. That Jeb photo is worse than Gov. Chris Christie hugging Obama, IMO.
I believe this trump pic is nothing compared to the Jeb photo.
I still can’t figure out why Fox thought it could be that blatant about their bias. Their arrogance causes them to see their viewers as too stupid to see the obvious.
