I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency.
He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross.
Decency is one of those lines.
As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.
In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.
It was not the blood coming out of her eyes part that was the problem.
[SNIP]
I think that is true. And Ive been very sympathetic to Donald Trump because so many of the people who have led the party astray refuse to even treat him as a legitimate candidate.
But I also think that while Mr. Trump resonates with a lot of people with his bluntness, including me to a degree, there are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross.
His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just dont want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.
I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trumps place tomorrow night.

BINGO!
Only adding fuel to the fire.
Our country is on the precipice, and Fox decided to treat the only opportunity for the great candidates we have to discuss issues substantively as if it was All-Star wrestling.
We're disgusted, and we're turning off Fox. Piss-off, Rupert.
“I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trumps place tomorrow night.”
That fairly well sums up what this is all about. It is an attempted hit, shove the knife in and twist. The dis-invitation alone would have been difficult to positively spin; but the invitation for Kelly to take Trump’s place, and the snarky notification as the last sentence, is a bit too blatant. Rush says the word had gone out to destroy Trump. This fool will never sub for Rush again.
she believes her own PR.
EVERYONE on FNC is entertainment. ALL of them.
Erickson is so typical of what I despise about the GOP. He finds his strength through collective political correctness. It is not that I am sold on Trump, but actions like this make we want to support Trump because I want to see Erickson’s ilk defeated. Erickson needs to be kicked in the balls. Unfortunately, that isn’t possible since Erickson bleeds. Where the hell is rugged individualism in American men? BTW, I don’t find Trump rugged, if fact I find Trump a bit fruity. No wonder we have had two terms of the worst president in our history.
“I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trumps place tomorrow night.
Why not also invite Howard Stern and have him and Megyn continue their discussion of her tits, having sex while pregnant and the size of her husbands penis?
MSNBC and CNN make this conference sound like the gathering of all ground organizers.
Who paid to go?
Can they get refunds now?
If the RINO establishment runs another RINO like Bush III for president, I won’t be voting Republican. I held my nose for Bush II, McCain and Romney. I will not do it again. I WILL vote 3rd party rather than try and help another damn RINO.
As for Ms. Kelley, Wallace and Baier and their handlers at FOX, I stand by my statement. And FOX itself may have been damaged by thus farcical display. I hope so. They are NOT “fair and balanced” anymore, if they ever were. I plan to start watching the Blaze more and FOX a lot less.
Baier asked Trump what he received from Hillary Clinton and Rep. Nancy Pelosi in exchange for the money he donated.
Trump responded, For Hillary Clinton, I said be at me wedding and she came to my wedding.
Trump went on to explain that Clinton had no choice, because he gave to her foundation, which was supposed to be for charity.
I didnt know her money would be used on private jets going all over the world. It was.
Mr. Trump, were going to move on. Coming back to you Governor Walker, Baier directed.
Walker responded, One second on this. We spend a lot of time talking about Hillary Clinton, pinging us back and forth. Lets be clear, we should be talking about Hillary Clinton on that last subject, because everywhere in the world that Hillary Clinton touched is more messed up today than before her and the President took office.
Trump echoed Walkers statement, Its true.
FNC is going “girly man”
(insert hans and franz picture)
Where I am, a lot of white Democrats that have jobs are strongly pro-Trump.
Well, you could be right. He could be a Reagan II in that respect.
Totally agree.
The orginal Saturday Schedule:
On Saturday, speakers will include Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis of Florida, Congressman Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma and GOP presidential candidates Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, former Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida, and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.
Former Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran, who was fired by Mayor Kasim Reed in connection with a controversy over a Christian book authored by Cochran, is also among the speakers scheduled for Saturday.
The RedState Gathering is slated to conclude with a RedState Tailgate with Donald Trump at the College Football Hall of Fame on Saturday evening.
I feel EXACTLY as you do!
Everybody’s talking about Megyn Kelly, and she couldn’t be happier. Like Trump, she thrives on attention.
I hear ya.
btw..
This might be a good time for Ted Cruz to exit his slipstream from behind Trump and take some voters with him.
Most certainly.
A side observation. My normally very calm, collected wife actually stood up, pointing at Megyn when she was doing her agreement with the war on women pc stuff. She yelled, "This woman makes me totally sick and ashamed for her, here the country is going down the tubes and she's circulating talking points from the democrats as if they're real!"
Fortunately the panel from Fox almost redeemed itself by asking tough questions of EVERYONE, including the RINOs. That was excellent. It did show who could handle the heat. Most of them did. Bush was the worst in that regard, although he did not completely disgrace himself as I had hoped.
The worst drippingly condescending and outrageous question was Megyn"s "God" question towards the end. That was despicable, filled with the bias of an ignorant and obnoxious atheist. That was out of the twilight zone.
Each one gave good last speeches, Carson knocked it out of the park.
IMHO, The one who did the most damage to himself was Bush, followed by Walker, then Trump. The others either remained the same or got a bump.
Fiorina and Jindal killed it during the JV debate.
Redstate has sucked for years, Erik is a RINO douche bag. Kelly is a feminazi turd.
