Fox Hit Job on Trump
My Fetid Mind | August 6th, 2015 | Mariner

Posted on 08/06/2015 9:39:33 PM PDT by Mariner

Watching the debate tonight I noticed several thing that demonstrated great bias:

1. Opened with hit #1, who will not pledge to support the nominee? They KNEW only Trump.

2. Trump calling Rosie names on twitter and are you a misogynist?

3. Even whn in Trump's sweet spot of immigration: PROVE Mexican govt is sending their criminals.

All in the first 20mins.

And never was a single question framed in a way that allowed him to shine.

It’s just that we who have been watching have already heard the words Trump said tonight, time and time again. I agree with his promises, but he has no specifics, and it became apparent tonight that there are none.

Again, not sure what debate you watched. You're not going to get much from the women's question or other hatchet questions. His response on healthcare was quite good.

Agree, it was a hatchet job from the outset. Kelly hates men who don’t bow to her.

Nobody can own Trump. That is their problem. He doesn’t need them. He is becoming more confident and less of a braggart though he still needs to work on that.

As for promise not to run third party... he is playing the establishment as well he should. If he makes the promise not to run third party he loses all of his leverage. They’ll treat him like crap. He is outsmarting them.. It is the art of the deal. I hope he just keeps doing what he is doing.

Dad always said to always tell the truth but to never tell everything you know.

They tried to get Bush to fight with him—but he refused to take the bait.

I think Bush knew every shot they were going to fire at Trump. When they said, to Trump, to turn to Bush and say it to his face, el Jeb was grinning like a goof, ready and waiting.

Wasn't that pathetic and so obvious...He wasn't asked any question about policy or anything to do with the Presidency...It was all personal attack on Trump...

They even tried to get the other candidates to pile on...My respect for Kelly dropped to a new low...

Every question was a bash against a Republican candidate. No question about the appeal of Bernie Sanders to Democrats, no questions about the age of the Democratic candidates — where are the young Democratic leaders? No questions about Greece or Puerto Rico going bankrupt, nothing about the EPA... what do we get, Trump’s Twitter feed, Republican conflicts, social issues... I don’t know why Republicans don’t run their own debates.

I walked away from the debate after the first question. It was a personal attack and the bitch did it on purpose of course. She hates any man who is not impressed by her looks or her brilliance or whom she can’t control. Trump is all of these and she hates him. She is the most biased “journalist” on the idiot box.

Hannity knew it was not right and he acted like it. He dare not cross the queen bee though.

I watched the after action reviews with Hannity and thought they were informative and that he did a good job.

A guy told me he saw Chung piss off Bill Gates in an interview about the same time as the Gingrich interview. He said Gates walked up off the set. That may be the real reason Complete Bull Shit dropped the hammer on her.

Imagine Gates——” I will buy this network and fire every one of your asses if you don’t punish her”.

I think Huck saw the BS, and had Trumps back in an odd way.

Trump is winning big on two different polls post-debate.

Americans have become very media savvy, and caught Fox red handed in their blatant attempt to damage Trump tonight. I think the post-debate polling we're seeing reflects that.

Like Rush says, "They used to get away with it, but not anymore."

And the media tried to suck up to Jeb Bush because Jeb bush is a liberal/marxist like they ALL are

It was clear to me that Jeb was fed the questions beforehand...His answers were too pat...

Unlike the other candidates, he was given any questions where he could give specifics about anything...

Could you reword that to:

I don’t know why Conservatives don’t run their own debates.

GOPe was running this one, tho’ I think it backfired on them because it was done so obviously. Good Lord, ask DT ALL questions on substantive issues... But they were afraid to, I think. Or, they (GOPe and Faux) think engaged Conservative voters are on the same level as “average” voters.

Yes, agreed. The ‘debate’ was an orchestrated spectacle directed by Fox to steer the conversation in a particular way. And clearly, trying to make Trump look bad was part of their agenda. That’s why it’s going to be all the sweeter when they see how irrelevant their spectacle was, and how little effect it will have on the polls, with the possible exception of helping Trump gain a few more percentage points. Voters no longer need these debates to learn about their candidates. Trump will continue to speak directly to the people, and his strengths as a candidate will continue to appeal to voters regardless of Fox’s irrelevant debate.

Bush/Bloomberg. That was prima facie evidence of bias.

Anyone with half a brain would know that an *answer* such as a highly intelligent person, like Trump, wants to give, is wayyyyyyyy too long in such a forum.

sheesh

Trump 40.8%

Carson 16.3%, Nice guy, smart guy, I think he get steam rollered

Cruz 13.4, very smart guy but not likeable for most, he is like the perfect XO and he is a courageous fellow to boot

Rubio 8.6%, didn’t do bad in the Hannity after action segment, still don’t trust his immigration stance.

Kasich 6.6%, how did he rank this?

Paul 4.6%, higher than he deserves

Huckabee 3.8%, appropriate

Bush 2.8%, thank goodness

Christie 1.8%, still think he is obongo’s bitch

Walker 1.3%, what happened?
