Amid the anti-trophy hunting hysteria sweeping certain parts of the country following the death of Cecil the Lion, Democrat senators have introduced the Conserving Ecosystems by Ceasing the Importation of Large (CECIL) Animal Trophies Act.

Why am I not surprised Dick Blumenthal of CT is involved?
What a dumb proposal. I love big cats, but there is no sound public policy reason for banning the import of a legally-taken big game animal trophy (or any other animal trophy, for that matter).
