Trump says GOP candidates who went to Koch event are ‘PUPPETS’! (Ted Cruz?)
Twitter The Right Scoop ^ | 8/2/2015 | Posted by soopermexican Staff

The Trumpinator went on the march via phone through the Sunday morning shows, and then he tweeted this to mock the candidates who went to a Koch Brothers event this weekend:

"I wish good luck to all of the Republican candidates that traveled to California to beg for money etc. from the Koch Brothers. Puppets?"

BOOM! I guess. The five who went to the event were Ted Cruz, Jeb! Bush, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina. This is the advantage that Trump has – as a billionaire he can fund his own campaign while the other candidates have to necessarily go on fundraising trips.

Anyone bothered that he’s taking the Harry Reid tactic against Republicans?

Misleading headline!

He didn’t say they were puppets, he asked if they were.

Totally true.

Trump: "I wish good luck to all of the Republican candidates that traveled to California to beg for money etc. from the Koch Brothers. Puppets?"

Reading comprehension suffers when it comes to Trump.

He even said 'good luck' to them.

He asks of the group there. We know Scott Ethanol Walker is a puppet.

He asked if "all" of them were puppets. That would include Ted Cruz.

Add to that, Trump also "asked" about another favorite target of the left, the Koch brothers.

And finally and most importantly, without any evidence whatsoever of bad policy based on contributions, Trump is "asking" about money in politics, another favorite target of the left.

Hmmm, I’m wondering if this isn’t a dig at the Koch Bros. as well.

The GOP base is well aware that their pols promise one thing, then do what their donors want once in office. It’s perfectly reasonable for Trump to acknowledge the Establishment elephant in the room.

He said good luck to them all—and then asked if they were puppets. The Kochs are terrible on illegal immigration and I’m glad Trump is asking that.

You Trump and Cruz supporters are really stupid.
......................................

You sound like McCain on attack: We are all ‘crazies’ and on and on....

There are some of us on here that really WANT Trump and Cruz....

Trump doesn't have to go begging for money....just think last election they WENT to Trump for donations....

We want people OFF welfare and working;

We want borders to keep out the criminals and the druggies;
(maybe we should send them all to your state and let you guys support them)

We want a better America....I don't see any of the other candidates doing anything but putting their finger up to see which way the wind is blowing.....

Ted Cruz is a doctrinaire constitutional conservative. To the extent that monied interests agree with his views, he asks for money in order to promote and actualize those views. He doesn’t alter his views to get money.

“Trump will get eaten alive in the debates and I think he knows it.”

Boy, your political antennae are zilch.

Trump is an arrogant ass who will get his clock cleaned in the debates.

Actually money and free speech in politics is a neutral thing. It can be used for good or bad. Pointing out specific examples of where money contributions have given us bad policy is something good a candidate can do. Casting wide aspersions on money and free speech in general, is something John McCain, Democrats and the media would do...and now Trump does it too.

He said good luck to them all—and then asked if they were puppets. The Kochs are terrible on illegal immigration and I’m glad Trump is asking that.

So then both the Koch Bros. and Trump want amnesty.

Trump is an egotistical fool.

You think Obama bristles and gets angry at the smallest sleights? Trump is worse.

Forget that logical point.

Trump is channeling the philosophy of McCain Fiengold.

There's a little too much freedom and free speech going on.

The fact that Trump is running, does expose at the least, the system and that is of politicians serving to an extent, special interests. That may not always be a bad thing.

Trump could NOT say “4 out of 5 who went to beg Koch’s for money are puppets”. So, Cruz just got lumped in with the others. Trump and Cruz have not fired at each other, yet. Which is all good.

Trump is opening himself up to a possible debate question from a hostile Fox News:

“You’ve cast aspersions on the other candidates having to raise money for their run—do you believe that only billionaires who can self-fund a race ought to be considered for president?”

But he’s also being puckish and having fun with the tweet.

Trump is in no way proposing federal funding of campaigns or limits on donations—which is what the Democrats angle for.

The Kochs and friends want only a few things:

The legalization of illegals

No Wall so more can come in

More H-1b

"Free Trade"

Lower taxes and reduced regulation

They don't have a material interest in any other issues.

Only one of those is in the long-term interest of Americans and America.

When push comes to shove, Cruz and every other Republican is on the "correct" side of the core issues of concern to the donors.

I am not making a moral judgement.

I understand they needs $millions to get elected and I understand many have some principles.

But, at crunch time they will always be on the "correct" side of the donor class "Minimum Essential Issues"

Maybe not. He will be able to talk about the one thing the rest won’t be able to speak of at all. He “successfully” runs billion dollar business enterprise. The rest are muzzled, failures, bought, thugs or clueless. Trump at the moment appears to be none of those. I said at the moment and appears....

So, why don't they just establish facilities in Mexico?

They must have a lower corporate income tax, and the cheap labor is already living there.

Yeah, Trump’s at least better than the standard GOP position, but not good.

(Too bad the only candidate with the right platform on illegal immigration is weirdo Santorum.)
