Trump says GOP candidates who went to Koch event are ‘PUPPETS’! (Ted Cruz?)
Twitter The Right Scoop ^ | 8/2/2015 | Posted by soopermexican Staff

The Trumpinator went on the march via phone through the Sunday morning shows, and then he tweeted this to mock the candidates who went to a Koch Brothers event this weekend:

"I wish good luck to all of the Republican candidates that traveled to California to beg for money etc. from the Koch Brothers. Puppets?"

BOOM! I guess. The five who went to the event were Ted Cruz, Jeb! Bush, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina. This is the advantage that Trump has – as a billionaire he can fund his own campaign while the other candidates have to necessarily go on fundraising trips.

Anyone bothered that he’s taking the Harry Reid tactic against Republicans?

Ted Cruz is nobody's puppet. Don't know why Trump would call him one. Here's Trump's Achilles Heel.

Trump will get eaten alive in the debates and I think he knows it.

I agree. I have to think that Trump likes Cruz and really meant that for the others Walker, Bush, Rubio etc.

Like I said on the other thread, this election is now about who can raise the most money to keep up with the billionaire Trump.

He set the bar, so he shouldn’t call all of them puppets.

I can picture Ted Cruz laying down the line in the meeting. “If I’m with you, I’m with you. If I’m not with you, I’m not with you and I’m not going to lie to you.”

Misleading headline!

He didn’t say they were puppets, he asked if they were.

I don’t think that Trump said anything about Cruz....I think the MSM is making up news again, they know when Trump/Cruz take the White House, their days are OVER...

They are ‘making up’ news just to irate those of us that support Trump/Cruz for 2016...I just laugh at them....

As far as the K. Brothers goes: if you want your candidate to beg for money, he isn’t worth anymore than what we have in obuma....

Bogus headline. Trump didn’t say anything about Cruz and he didn’t say the others were puppets. He asks the question nobody wants to ask.

“Trump will get eaten alive in the debates and I think he knows it.”

Do you really think Trump will get eaten alive in debates? What makes you think so? He’s great a speaking off-the-cuff.

Misleading headline! He didn’t say they were puppets, he asked if they were.

So Trump only thinks that Cruz might be a puppet.

Nothing to see here.

Let's all move along.

I don’t know why you would say that. Trump is simply following basic marketing philosophies. When your product has an asset that your competitors do not have, you bang the drum about it as much as you can. If they can NEVER achieve what you have, as is the case here, you do it even louder. Trump can self-fund and his competitors cannot, thus he’s going to call them all out on it whenever he can in order to promote himself.

Ted Cruz is a big boy. He can handle it.

They all need money to run. If we’re going to oppose big donors it will severely restrict the number of people who can run. We’ll be left with nothing but guys like Trump, Gates, Imelt, Buffet etc.

He would be a lot more effective pointing to all the vote buying scams of the democrats starting with the unions.

You Trump and Cruz supporters are really stupid.

If you do not think Trump will not attack Cruz if he is a threat, then you are fooling yourselves.

Likewise, if Cruz has an opportunity to take the lead in the polls over Trump by attacking him, he will.

These are politicians, not friends.

"Anyone bothered that he’s taking the Harry Reid tactic against Republicans?"

Referencing an obvious truth is now a Harry Reid tactic ?

Does anyone really think the Kochs and cohorts give over $1bil each cycle and ask for nothing in return?

If so, please make you case.

I'm not comfortable with the candidates collecting the big bucks from donors who are in the habit of manipulating, perhaps owning, the candidates they finance.

Cruz is already on shaky ground with his support of even more H1B Visas while major companies were laying of US Tech workers. I liked his campaign better when he started out with a splash, and small donations. Besides that, under a President Trump, Cruz would be close to a necessity in the US Senate to clean up that sewer.

For instance now that the Garland TX terror attack is back in the news, Do you think his comments about Pam Geller bringing it on herself won’t come up?

I notice lately that the headlines are often opposite to what the true story is about. People read headlines like a sound bite now.

I’ve never trusted Trump and I doubt Ted Cruz does either.

Ted Cruz is just smarter than getting down into the mud and wrestling with a pig when there was no obvious gain.
