Now it would be one thing if Ivana was making this allegation today. Instead, the first Mrs. Trump issued this statement to CNN yesterday:
“The story is totally without merit. Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign. Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president.”
That’s the “victim” presented by the story.
I’m sorry, but the piece in the Beast, where I once worked, reads like a hit job calculated to harm Trump. It encapsulates everything that people hate about the media. And I knew even before The Donald went on Greta Van Susteren’s show that he would use it to attack the media, and that his words would resonate.

The best game is what will the media’s next attempt to take down Trump be, and how many percentage points he’ll gain from his response.
Trump seems to be holding all 13 cards of the suit and all his detractors can do is waste their cards.
It’s the Democrat Propaganda Ministry. Why should we expect anything different?
It was an untrue past history story that should not have been given the light of day. It was a hit piece and Megyn used it for ratings. I thought she should have asked the twerp reporter about why he hadn’t reported on the transgressions of the husband of Hillary Clinton. That would have put this story in it’s proper place. It would have paled compared to the Clinton history.
They make a wild accusation, putting the spotlight on Trump. The anticipation builds.
Then he steps up to the plate and proves their attack is a lie once again...thereby driving home his point that the media is a BIG part of the problem.
And his support just grows a little stronger.
Do we really know that it’s not the RINO/GOPe Propaganda Ministry (that is, the Undercover Democrat) at work in this case?
And they succeed, but it's not the rep they wanted.
So finally, the winner once again is...Trump.
I think it’s fair to identify the media with Democrats. As far they’re concerned, Lindsey Graham is just as close to Hitler as the most genuine right-winger.
Its has Carville / Begala / Georgy Stephy aroma to it.

Maybe Trump’s campaign brought it up to set up another conflict and keep his name in the news. Maybe Ivana passed it on because she secretly still hates him.

I’d sat it’s more the RINO wing of the Uniparty propaganda ministry. They have more to lose.
Naw, Ivana wouldn’t have agreed to such a controversy-ending statement if that were the case and not the Trump campaign’s style at this point. (Though helpful to get it raised and debunked early.)
