Ironically, neither do the republicans.

**Some believe that Trump is an agent of the Clintons...**

I thought, everyone was saying that *Trump couldn’t be bought?*

Well, DT’s candidacy was fun while it lasted.

Didn’t Trump say hillary is the worst Secretary of State ever and that what she did with the emails is criminal?

I'm open for discussion and/or lambasting ...

We all know that what we get via the media is filtered for their purpose, and FR is here that we may receive clarification for understanding

I've read almost nothing but good stuff about Walker, but as a retired truck driver, I could comment on various state's and the condition of their roads .... that you won't hear via the media

So .... IS Wisconsin's roads a disaster ?

I listened to that Iowa speech and I DID cringe a little a few times at what Trump said, but because I say stupid things occasionally enough to identify with just about anyone that says stupid things ... MY mind and immediate consciousness sort of glosses over those things and my opinion varies little.

That's what I like about print ..... if something flags my thoughts, I can go back to see what it was

Like many ... Trump has taken me by surprise and I'm interested, but with the latest development of him pulling out of the first debate and THIS report about Wisconsin .... I'd like to get some more information

ARE the roads and hospitals "a disaster" or is he commenting with a union bias or something ?

He’s still more conservative than 90% of Repub leadership. This is all about stopping closing the border.

Walker is a big boy. He can handle the fire. It is actually good for him and will build his immune response.

I like both Trump and Walker. They are fighters and winners. Let them go at it. Trump is doing what a good fighter should do. He is aggressively stalking his opponents.

This guy apparently didn’t hear Trump going after Hillary as being potentially criminal with her emails. This writer is probably a Walker supporter and agrees with Walker’s surrogates George Will and that fundraiser calling Trump a “dumb dumb.”

“The other guys running, the Republicans — they protect each other,” Trump said early in his speech. “Me, I don’t care.”

So the “other guys running” are “the Republicans.” Not Trump.

He said "the other guys running, the Republicans", to differentiate them from the other guys running, the Democrats. (And yes, I consider Hillary to be "a guy".)

In no way does that that statement mean that Trump is saying he isn't a Republican.

How many of the other candidates have tagged Hillary as a criminal?

It’s not like he’s using kid gloves on her as is implied in paragraph four.

My question is, why would anyone even “pretend” to be republican given the examples presented to us in government today?

The party has been hijacked by RINOs and converted to the GOPe.

With “leadership” like Boehner, McConnell, and “rence ‘n’ spin”, we should expect something special?

I’m all for a Conservative party, and not one that pulls a Fred Thompson, hip-hip-hooray, then bails out.

Why go after Walker when there are still plenty of Democrat issues to attack. *Sigh* Yeah, I knew my gut Trump wasn’t fully going to work out. Still, let him keep talking, at least he’s bringing out issues like nobody else.

Define Republican because I not sure what that is any more. I do know what a true Conservative is.

Why would any Republican parrot the Democrats’ attacks on his fellow Republicans?

How about, because it's the truth...In case no one has noticed, Trump is running against the other Republicans...Why would he not point out their failures???

I think Trump is in it for Trump. That’s where his loyalty is - to himself. He seems to be a strange mix among the conservative liberal issues. Against Planned Parenthood funding due to recent outrage but for single payer health insurance. Yes, he’s brash and he’s tough and right now he’s making jobs and immigration and illegals the issue. He’s smart enough to know what resonates with the American people and he’s more honest than most of the GOPe in speaking to the American people - but really, I don’t feel I could trust him very much except in matters that will benefit Donald Trump. Character is my point.

I think you will be very disappointed if you think a Donald Trump presidency is going to save America. He might be the best of the worst but I’m not sure anyone person can save us at this point. Our problems are moral at the heart but we don’t want to go there very much in addressing those issues because we’d have to examine our own heart and morals. Corruption is killing us at many, many levels and at this point it’s extremely obvious. We should be looking (IMO) for a moral individual that will do the right things in the right way. That will tell Americans what the truth is about our sick country and what it will take to bring us back from the abyss we’re about to go over. Yea, we like Donald because he seems to be the kind of guy who will kick ass and take names and that appeals to our own little egos doesn’t it? Yea, Donald will show’em! No, he won’t. He’ll just take us in a slightly different path to the same destination.

Now I can just sense the flames coming my way but... Look at candidate Cruz. He seems to be a moral and courageous and smart individual. He has integrity and has demonstrated he’s not afraid of the GOPe hierarchy. He’s not perfect. No one is. Yet not too many people are excited about him. Yes, he’s not that exciting as a speaker but he speaks the truth when he speaks. You know where he stands on the issues or a good guess would get you close because you know his character. He’s not all brash and into himself. He’s not going to give you or anyone else the middle finger like I imagine Trump might. But I can certainly see him fighting corruption and not making deals with Harry Reid or Obama. Trump might do those things but his motives might be more in line with revenge and getting his way than with what’s best for the country at large. Yes, I would vote for him over Hillary or Joe or Bernie or anyone the left puts up but can’t we aim a little higher, especially when we have the chance? In short I trust Ted Cruz to do the right thing more than I trust Trump. I guess my real point in this rant is do we even, as a nation and as individuals, have the capacity to recognize any longer what we truly need and what will correct our national wrongs? No individual can save us if we are no longer willing to change who we are as individuals. At some point the greedy and corrupt are greater in number than the good and decent. That’s where we are today. There are more of them than of us. It’s about changing hearts and minds. It’s about sacrifices - painful ones. If we aren’t willing to be people of character we won’t know how to pick that type of person for president either. In short, we will trust in a man instead of trusting in our God.
