A federal judge in California has ruled that the Obama administrations detention of children and their mothers who were caught crossing the border illegally is a serious violation of a longstanding court settlement, and that the families should be released as quickly as possible.
In a decision late Friday roundly rejecting the administrations arguments for holding the families, Judge Dolly M. Gee of Federal District Court for the Central District of California found that two detention centers in Texas that the administration opened last summer fail to meet minimum legal requirements of the 1997 settlement for facilities housing children.

Under the Flores settlement, officials were required to try first to release a child to a parent, legal guardian or close relative. Judge Gee concluded that if the mother was also detained, Homeland Security officials should release her with the child, as long as she did not present a flight or security risk. She gave the administration one week to devise a plan to release children and mothers without unnecessary delay.
For children who could not be released, the Flores agreement required officials to place them in nonsecure facilities run by agencies licensed for child care.

Apparently this judge doesn’t give two sh!ts whether these people are violent criminals, horribly diseased with afflictions we are not in a position to treat on a wide scale basis, or even just plain shouldn’t be frigging deported back to the homeland that helped them get here.
Agreed. Released the mothers to their country of origin.
We are not in the business of breaking up families, so the brats go with them.
When the kids reach adulthood they can assert what little claim they may have to US citizenship*, right now all they get is exactly what an American child born in their country would get, a certificate of [parent’s nation’s name] citizen born abroad.
*allowing for the possible eventual recognition that accident of birth citizenship was never the intent of the 14th Amendment.
Obama appointee of course.
Fine, release them right over the Mexican border.

Release them to Mexico City. They can use AF1 to ferry them down and maybe they can put the imposter president aboard and he can stay there with them.
It’s clear after three decades of “promises” that the Democrat Socialists, the GOPEs and the RINOs have absolutely no intention of controlling the southern border to any significant degree — much less “secure” it — or of subjecting the tens of millions of illegal mexicans, et al. to our immigration laws that they have passed time and again ... no doubt for “show”.
All part of the communists plan to kill America. Working fine since there is no opposition. America is finished. California is overrun by Mexicans both legal and illegal. Mexico is winning California back.
The judge is right. These children and their parents should be released immediately - to their home countries.
I propose sanctuary neighborhoods. We could start with this judges, e.g., the house next door, across the street, behind, in front of could be sanctuaries for these folks. Next, all politicians for the sanctuaries would be target next. Perhaps proponents of sanctuaries could help their brothers and sisters with updating their resumes, etc.
This will now mean, with Obama’s recent change....that they can in turn get passes into America for their extended family.
Just thought of this, since Bush agreed with this crap in the first place, send them to his ranch in Tejas.
Sure thing. Release them at the Mexican Border and tell them not to return.
Judge Dolly M Gee is an appointee of Barack Obama. Any surprise?
Find out where the judge lives and start busing in illegals to camp out on her lawn or at least in front of her house.
