Donald Trump leads the GOP presidential field again this week, though controversial remarks about Sen. John McCain may have dented his popularity among Republicans
Donald Trumps rise in the Republican contest for the 2016 presidential nomination doesnt appear to have been slowed much at least not yet by the recent controversy over his criticisms of Arizona Sen. John McCains war record last weekend. In fact, although Trumps favorable ratings among Republicans have declined, he is still ahead and far ahead when Republicans are asked to choose among the 16 currently announced candidates.
In last weeks poll, Donald Trump received the highest favorable ratings of any candidate from Republicans, apparently helped by his tough position on illegal immigration. This week, however, Trumps favorable ratings dropped 11 points, and his unfavorable rating has risen 15 points.

At the rate he makes "controversial statements", virtually daily, he should be over 50% in a few weeks.
Agree
Cruz’s speech in the US Senate today showed he just might be getting back to where he was when he had his magnificent 21 hours. He did acknowledge that he was told not to trust McConnell with that very bad trade deal blunder.
Trump hasn’t been tainted by the well dressed well connected influence paddlers and politician investors.
He’s best weapon is the truth. He’ll use that weapon with deadly precision.
It’s hard to believe Cruz and Fiorina aren’t polling better.
Just remember folks, Trump has topped out.
He should probably just drop out now.

I don’t particularly like what I see happening to Cruz’s numbers. If Trump drops out at some point, Cruz will dominate.
“Donald Trump’s support remains high following John McCain controversy(YouGov:Trump 28% Walker 13%)”
What do you mean “REMAINS high”? - IT SHOT UP!
Trumps ceiling in the primaries is likely between 50 and 60%.
To have a chance of beating him, the GOPe will have to winnow their OWN field to 2 or less.
The money will dry up, abruptly, for everyone else...probably before Florida primary.
MAYBE even this fall.
It may come down to Trump, Bush, Walker and Cruz. They will have the $$$. I’m afraid that heavily favors the GOPe candidate.
So then why use the word “controversy” if clearly there is none.
Why do you believe a 4% candidate will be in the hunt late?
Look at all those crazies!!!
Why do you believe a 4% candidate will be in the hunt late?
++++
Superior organization and more money than anyone but Bush and Trump.
Plus we Cruz supporters expect him to score big in the debates.
But you have a point. I’m really just guessing and hoping.
Trump is 28+10 which seems to mean at least 38% would strongly consider Trump. I highly doubt most of those wouldn’t move to Cruz if Trump were not an option; Cruz should continue doing what he’s doing; the election is many months out and he’s doing well financially so far
I’m happy to be “a crazy.”
Another crazy here.
WOW!
We might be taking over!
Me too! One crazy I like is this. Ah, the 1980’s.
