Federal investigators want criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton emails
LA Times ^ | 7/24/15 | Evan Halper

Posted on 07/24/2015 8:02:14 AM PDT by jimbo123

The Department of Justice has been asked to open a criminal investigation into the use of a personal email account by Hillary Rodham Clinton while she was secretary of State, after government investigators concluded that classified information may have been mishandled, U.S. officials said.

Inspectors general for the State Department and intelligence agencies asked that the investigation be opened after finding that Clinton’s private account potentially contained hundreds of classified emails. The New York Times first reported the request to the Justice Department.

Clinton has said repeatedly she did not keep classified information on the account. Her campaign said in a statement that the emails in question were classified by the State Department retroactively, and thus Clinton violated no laws. It is unclear from the published findings of the inspectors general whether they found otherwise.

I guess we are going to find out pretty soon if the new Attorney General is just a clone of the old one (Holder).

Violated no laws, and thus the drive had to be wiped. And only selected emails were being released by Hillary herself. Ok.

She missed her chance (completely) to play the innocent. Waaaaaay past time.

“Federal investigators want criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton emails”

Not the Federal investigators working for THIS Current Regime.

There is just way too much invested in maintaining the facade that Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless has thrown up (neat double entendre, there).

Short of the Russians or the Chinese revealing the entire contents of the home server (which they almost certainly hacked long ago), we may not ever know the bulk of what those messages involved.

Or perhaps the total exchange could be pieced together from retained messages that others who had been correspondence with Herself have NOT erased.

After all, that is how we found out about the exchanges with Sid Vicious, er, Blumenthal (just another FJB, in the estimation of Herself).

Even information that has been retroactively classified has to be brought under control and an complete investigation undertaken to understand the scope and extent of the after-the-fact breach.

From my perspective, NOT turning over the hardware on which this information had been stored is a blatant, if not criminal, violation. She had to have signed agreements with respect to her access to classified information. Her actions in the self-scanned review are not part of the equation. I say she violated her agreement and the law.

Hill may find that she doesn’t have the teflon that Slick Willie seemed to have.

If they find (and probably have) that she did email classified documents, that could be bad news for her.

Asking the DOJ to investigate Clinton emails is equivalent to asking DOJ to provide cover for the Clinton email scandal, it would only drag on and on until if fades away.

Any other investigations and or direct questions regarding the emails would be stifled; as she can say I can’t answer questions because the DOJ has an ongoing investigation that will prove I was justified in my actions and I am innocent of all charges.

But the mere mention of this already compounds her negative trustworthy numbers!

I don’t see this DOJ doing anything to this criminal. If they let Hillary Escobar take money from foreign nations while she was Secretary of State, money that she then controls and do not prosecute that grotesque abuse of her office, then she could keep her own emails.

Remember Guccifer—a very good hacker—hacked Bluementhal’s emails and published some. All it would take is for him or another hacker to link to a worm and send the email to Hillary, from Bluementhal, saying “click this link for naked pics of Huma (or Ghadaffi)!” and when she clicks, a worm gets into the clinton email server. That server tied into state. Boom. Hackers into state dept servers without having to do any work. IT guys would say it’s an inside job. Not much defense against stupidity—when someone allows entry through legit channels.

Hillary’s little secretive paranoid practices compromised the entire US state department. You read it here!

"Her campaign said in a statement that the emails in question were classified by the State Department retroactively, and thus Clinton violated no laws.

How stupid is that? If the didn't have them they couldn't classify them. She broke the law by having a private email server that wasn't protected by the State Department who owns the data she was sending/receiving.

she deliberately put all emails to her in the clear, exposing anything coming through to foreign operatives.

i wonder how much money the clintons received to keep that intel flow going

And only selected emails were being released by Hillary herself.

And some of those were edited before they were turned over.
