Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush says his opponents for the presidency shouldnt be missing votes in the Senate or they should resign, you know.
No, Im really kind of saying the system itself is the problem, Bush told radio host Michael Medved when asked if his speech Monday on changing Washington was aimed at his presidential rivals who are currently in the Senate.
Bush, speaking in Florida on Monday, gave a broad speech how he would bring changes to what he termed Mount Washington if elected. Bush said he would push for a balanced budget, an unequivocal six-year ban on lobbying for ex-members of the House and Senate, and a line-item veto, among other items mentioned in the speech.
Theyre all fine people, but if theyre missing votes then they ought to change that, I mean cmon, this is the pay people get in public life is good, Bush added. Its a sacrifice to be away from their families, Id admit that, but if youre there for three days, you ought to be able to show up and vote or resign, you know.
That would be and then go pursue your whatever your desires are, but showing up for work its whats required of every American, Bush added. It seems to me that Congress ought to feel a duty to do the same. Several of Bushs presidential rivals, such as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul have sporadic and sometimes poor attendance records for Senate votes and committee hearings. Bush last served in elected office in 2007.
Your boy just repeated your idea from last night. What a coincidence!!
Nobody cares what you think, Porkulus.
Jeb: Get Your First Job.
He was a real estate developer insider. (and still is)
Por que no te caias, Yeb?
“No but that little Clinton operative that works for the MSM called for BOB Dole to resign and by golly BOB DOLE resigned.
not like it mattered it was done and like two of us remember.”
I do remember Dole resigned. That act alone demonstrated he was unfit for the office. A man with backbone would have responded by suggesting Clinton resign.
I also remember after his loss, Bob Dole cashed in doing Viagra commercials while his wife Libby became a one term carpetbagger US Senator from North Carolina. Libby used her mother’s address in NC to qualify as a resident and candidate. She and Bob continued living good life in Washington for her six year term. Unfortunately for Libby she rarely visited the state as a Senator and the voters got tired of having an absentee representative in Washington. When she ran for reelection, she was clueless as to what was going on in the state. Democrat Kay Hagan came from no where beat her in what should have been an easy reelection bid but which turned into a pathetic demonstration of political incompetence.
It just goes to show the establishment GOP is in it for the dinners, the junkets, the sex, and feathering their nests. No ideology, no patriotism, no concern for the future of the country. It is all just one big social event to them.

YEB: Yo no camino, dejé que la gente me llevan
Jeb, do you mean the system that promotes political dynasties to the third generation of incompetents, like the Bushes or the Kennedys? Looks like the Clintons are trying to join that club by building up Webb's daughter, Chelsea, too.
Claro!
Does this fool even know that the great war hero, John McCain, did not even resign from the Senate after being nominated and running in the general ?
Bush is into ‘procedures of governing’... and on some levels those things matter..
But they don’t hold a candle next to real problems - like illegals flooding our country... or horrible agreements with Iran that might result in millions of American and Israeli deaths... or ISIS knocking on our door.
Then again...
Maybe Jeb can deal with who gets the keys to the executive bathrooms in congress - and how those keys should be color coded.
or they should resign, you know.
“Like, totally!” said the Bush baby stamping his little foot.
I think we all know the only one whom Jeb is worried about.
. . . and the very forgettable Marco Rubio.
Oh wow. That is awesome. No wonder I find Walker so Presidential. We are so privileged to have Walker running and in second place after only a week of being in the race. Not bad.
Scott Herbert WALKER Bush?
Don’t care as long as he is our President. He can have any name he wants.
John Ellis Bush’ father and brother both ran for president while holding office, as is Scott Walker presently. But they’re “different” than Ted Cruz in some way, right?
