Pentagon Refuses to Arm Military Recruiters – Tells Them to “Close the Blinds”
Army chief of staff Gen. Ray Odierno said on Friday he has no plans to arm recruiters or add security patrols to military recruitment centers in the wake of the Islamist terror attacks on unarmed, unguarded military offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Thursday. Odierno basically said he doesn’t trust his troops to handle their weapons properly.
Also on Friday, the Marine Corps ordered recruiters to not wear their uniforms at work for ‘force protection.’
Today the Pentagon added this– Military recruiters are being told to “close the blinds” for added safety.
Gretchen Carlson reported:

I couldn’t get in with a frickin’ Boker Armed Forces tactical folder a couple of years ago (3.5” blade). Had to schlep all the way back under the highway to the C parking lot and put it in the car. Yeah, they’re protected.
Gonna have to look into some of those bullet-proof blinds for my home. Probably be excellent for hurricane season too.

Really. How about take all their armed guards away at the Pentagon and at the Rainbow Hut and at the Capitol and at the Supreme Court. What makes them so special? Nothing. This is the United States.
I also think the brass ought to have to walk around in civilian clothes all the time. No medals clinking around making them feel important.
Sounds like a revolutionary idea that would be embraced by the Founding Fathers.

That sounds like a good plan, but we know none of the cities with liberal mayors are going to provide protection.
Close the blinds? Because ISIS is afraid of window treatments?

And anyway, why should our recruiters have more aggressive rules of engagement than our guys in Afghanistan?

So you sit there in the recruiting office with the blinds closed, but then you can’t see the approaching islamic terrorist with his grenade launcher.
I’m surprised this idiot wimp didn’t tell the recruiters to buy some duct tape and seal the windows.
There is no way I’d volunteer to serve today’s military.
Can't wait for the Trump statement and then the sounds of lefty heads exploding. And any GOP candidate who doesn't say anything or supports this decision has just self selected out of the race.
