Obama unveils plan and rules to 'diversify' white suburbs

The president who pledged to transform America has picked his next target in the country’s makeover: the suburbs.

Obama the Utopian hopes to use both the federal Treasury and the federal club to coax Americans into neighborhoods planned by bureaucrats to perfectly reflect the nation’s diversity.

The Obama administration’s long-awaited new housing regulations came out Wednesday giving the federal government more tools to make sure neighborhoods around the nation aren’t developed and populated in racially segregated manners.

The rules, issued under the Department of Housing and Urban Development, are supposed to put a stop to “segregated living patterns” and “racially or ethnically concentrated areas of poverty,” HUD said, the Hill reported.

How it works is HUD will give local communities information on how to prevent and address perceived segregated housing areas, and offer grant money to address the situation. The grant money could then be used to help diversity the neighborhoods and “expand equal access to opportunity for all Americans,” HUD said, the Hill reported.

HUD Secretary Julian Castro put it this way: “Unfortunately, too many Americans find their dreams limited by where they come from, and a ZIP code should never determine a child’s future. This important step will give local leaders the tools they need to provide all Americans with access to safe, affordable housing in communities that are rich with opportunity.”

Critics, however, call the carrot-stick trade-off of government regulations for grant dollars a prime example of federal overreach.

Basically what this will do is remove our ability to vote with our feet.

Don't forget Supreme Court judges. I'd also submit that when multi-million dollar houses of sports and movie stars and other elitists go on sale, they'd make excellent rooming houses for society's less fortunate individuals.

On a practical note: has anyone considered the need for public transportation for outlying communities when this great plan happens?

This takes gerrymander to a whole other level. BUT, the numbers just won't add up using the current demographics. The purpose is to dilute the voting power of white suburbs, but there aren't enough minorities to accomplish this with the current demographics. They know this. That is why they are allowing hundreds of thousands of illegals to pour across the borders en masse, and importing thousands more from Somalia, Syria, Sub Saharan Sudan and other ME conflict countries. They are placing these future (D) voters strategically around the country is places that will swing elections and have little or no minorities in them, MT, WY, ID, MN, etc.

The reason the left wants to “diversify” the suburbs is to undermine the conservative vote. Everything the Dems do is designed to increase their power base.

This is mostly about evening up or trying to eliminate the Republican edge in the suburbs. It's no secret among the pols that while many large cities are mostly Dem, the outer rings, the suburbs are many times much more conservative Republican.

The Dems would like to see total elimination of anti-progressive pols. What better way to do it than to jut move Dem voters into those areas.

Many big cities have such a huge Dem majority that moving a sizable quantity into the Republican 'burbs will not mean much. But it might gain them some more seats in Congress.

Any GOP candidate who is smart enough to latch on to this travesty and makes it a big issue in the campaign, will win in a landslide, IMO.

So let’s see, this was ‘study’ spearheaded by a guy named Castro - who used to be our mayor. During his time as mayor he:

-Fought hard to have 281 North on the north side become a toll road because, “the people on that side of town can afford to pay tolls.”

- insisted that all expansion of public transportation be on the South and West side because, “all the people on the North side can afford cars.”

And now he releases a series of maps, including one of San Antonio, that shows all the poor people living on the South side, and all the rich people living on the North side. And he is shocked, shocked I tell you. It must be racism.

Nothing at all to do with idiot politicians like him making it all but impossible for poor people to live anywhere except where morons like him want them to. But wait - I have an idea. Let’s give billions to idiot liberal politicians so they can fix the mess they created.

..... Notice the type of suburbs that are being targeted. They are being singled out because of the ethnic makeup of the communities.
