Angry clashes have erupted between members of the Ku Klux Klan and the New Black Panther Party as both groups rally at the South Carolina statehouse.
Confederate flags were stolen and ripped up to cheers and applause from the New Black Panther demonstrators - while KKK members stood on the steps of the capitol performing Nazi salutes.
The white supremacists came out in force on Saturday afternoon to condemn the governor's decision to remove the Confederate Flag due to its associations with racial hatred.
Countering their demonstration, around 400 people with links to the New Black Panther Party marched in the name of racial equality - calling on politicians to do more than simply bring down a flag.
Although leaders insisted they would steer clear of one another, disputes were soon breaking out between off-shoots.
One police officer was seen holding a white man in a Confederate flag to the ground screaming for assistance. Other officers were seen in tactical gear in case the protests boiled over.
According to the Charleston Post-Courier, there were three fights that police were forced to break up.
It is the latest clash in Columbia, SC, following the racist shooting of nine black churchgoers at the hands of 21-year-old pro-Confederacy Dylann Roof last month.

The same bureaucrat the marxist-in-chief ordered to approve the permits, in the hopes of further fomenting the much-planned and hoped for race war.
Idiots with sub-70 IQ levels are going to throw this nation into a full fledged Civil/Race War and the politicians giggle.
Those of us who want to be left the hell alone from this insanity will eventually get dragged into it I’m afraid.
We really need to cling to Christ more than ever before. Things are getting so ugly it’s making the 1960’s sound tame.

On subsequent occasions, Muhammad praised Colin Ferguson, a black man who had shot some twenty white and Asian commuters (killing six of them) in a racially motivated 1993 shooting spree aboard a New York commuter train, as a hero who possessed the courage to “just kill every goddamn cracker that he saw.” He advised blacks that “there are no good crackers, and if you find one, kill him before he changes.” He told a Donahue television audience in May 1994 that “[t]here is a little bit of Hitler in all white people.” He characterized black conservatives as “boot-licking, butt-licking, bamboozled, half-baked, half-fried, sissified, punkified, pasteurized, homogenized Nigger[s].” On May 21, 1997 he told a San Francisco State University audience that the "white man" is "a no-good bastard. He's not a devil, the white man is the Devil." In September 1997 he said, "If you say you're white, goddammit I'm against you. If you're a Jew, I'm against you. Whatever the hell you want to call yourself, I'm against you."

If these groups wiped each other out, the country would be better for it.
My great-great grandfather was a Confederate soldier; fought at Shiloh. A Tennessean. I’m almost 69. - I don’t want to hurt any fellow citizen’s feelings if I can help it. The Confederate flag should not be on government property (paid for by all taxpayers, including black people). However, PRIVATE property & Confederate memorials (paid for by private citizens) are a different story.
No presence of the NAACP, La Raza, and the SPLC? I’m surprised.
THAT is NOT in the narrative.
The Rebel flag wasn’t even a blip on the radar screen.
The speed with which the phony outrage came together all at once from all directions and all with the same talking points indicates someone had the flag flap planned in advance.
The question I have is did someone know what the kid was planning and that’s how they got the phony flag outrage all set up in advance or was something else planned and this kid just gave them an opportunity which they jumped on.
I find it a little hard to believe at the same time the DoJ comes out with their “study” of right wing “hate” speech causing violence we have at least 3 separate incidents of violence or threat of violence which all the usual suspects blame on right wing hate speech.
We had the attempted mass murder by muslims in Texas because of right wing hate speech insulting the turd in the turban.
This nut shooting up a black church was all because of right wing hate.
A mexican drug lord escapes from prison then one of the first things he dose is threaten violence against Trump because of his right wing hate speech against illegals.
How is it possible all of these incidents, just by coincidence, fall into place just at the right time to support the DoJ study of right wing hate speech causing violence.
Not to mention just at the same time all of these “just by coincidence” incidents are being used to support the premise it’s those evil whites and their “hate” that is causing violence with blacks, Hispanics, and muslims, their is a new talking point coming from the left “microagression”.
It doesn’t matter what Whites say or do it’s all racism and hate.
The reporting on this event is so totally slanted.
The media are reporting that it was the Black Educators for Justice and the KKK who were rallying.
The event originally was for those who supported the battle flag and many who came yesterday were just that - not KKK. And the black educators were actually Black Pampers.
The media lie. (as does soon to be ex-governor Nikki Haley)
I thought the democrat convention was next year?
