Jeb Bush condemned Donald Trump's attack today on Sen. John McCain, saying "enough with the slanderous attacks."
Trump in Iowa today said of McCain: "He was not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured." He later tried to explain his remarks but not really.

She said in an interview with United Press International in 1984 that her husband told Jeb, "Whatever you decide . . . I will back you 100 percent." Jeb eventually decided to submit to the draft, she said.
Campaign spokeswoman Alixe Glen said Jeb Bush registered for the draft and received lottery number 26 at the end of 1971 or early 1972. But he was never called because the war was de-escalating then.

I’ve been keeping track for almost a month.
Thus far (his comments today included) Trump has said...
ZERO
Things wrong. Nothing. He has nailed every single point.
Just saying.

Finally, in addition to these hurdles and limitations, the McCain act does not specifically order the declassification of the information. Further, it provides the Defense Department with other justifications for withholding documents. One such clause says that if the information may compromise the safety of any United States personnel who remain not accounted for but who may still be alive in captivity, then the Secretary [of Defense] may withhold that record or other information from the disclosure otherwise required by this section.
Boiled down, the preceding paragraph means that the Defense Department is not obligated to tell the public about prisoners believed alive in captivity and what efforts are being made to rescue them. It only has to notify the White House and the intelligence committees in the Senate and House. The committees are forbidden under law from releasing such information.
McCain goes further to hurt future POWs...
Another bill gutted in 1996And then there is the Missing Service Personnel Act, which McCain succeeded in gutting in 1996. A year before, the act had been strengthened, with bipartisan support, to compel the Pentagon to deploy more resources with greater speed to locate and rescue missing men. The measure imposed strict reporting requirements.
McCain amended the heart out of the statute. For example, the 1995 version required a unit commander to report to his theater commander within two days that a person was missing and describe what rescue and recovery efforts were underway. The McCain amendments allowed 10 days to pass before a report had to be made.

Ya know why? Because those in D.C. see millions of Americans as being the enemy.
That's the ugly truth.
Connecticut liberals aren’t born with testicular fortitude.
Their PR agents and/or parents deflect questions of manhood.
I get it ....
Control the language control the argument control the thought process control
So simple ... see ?
correct... Trump was protecting people like us who McCain called crazies because we want the border secured..
Good. When all are in place against him Trump will drop the other shoe. Their numbers will continue to fall
I watched the video one time. Trump has a way of saying one thing, then his brain processes it and he quickly says the opposite. I am pretty sure Trump said McCain is hero... in some way.
Their handlers let them?
I’ve always doubted the stories of the heroic McCain in the POW camp...for the main reason that we’ve never seen any courage, let alone bravery, by McCain in the Senate. He’s always done the most gutless thing possible in Washington, which is to talk bad about conservatives to the media.
Even got into a big argument on the radio with G Gordon Liddy about this in the 90s.....I was very early to the anti McCain Party...1992. I was alone at the time....
Once again, much ado about nothing. I would like to see a Cruz-Walker or Walker-Cruz ticket, but I sure hate this tendency we have to destroy our candidates (even the ones we are not crazy about) because of some mis-speak, and elect or re-elect a perfectly terrible candidate.
What Trump is doing is helping smoke the rats out and knowing where they stand.
So far Cruz is still in and maybe Walker but all the others are road kill.
Post those on Breitbarts Tip box
Anyone that would be upset by what Trump said about him would never vote for Trump anyway.
Kudos to you for seeing the real McCain back then. I didn’t even know who he was in ‘92. I found stories about his conduct in captivity but I don’t pass them on, there’s just so much calumny post-service from him I don’t see the need to go there.
I’m sure some effort in an internet search would find them.
The Donald does not carry the surname “Trump” for nothing.
A trump is a playing card which is elevated above its normal rank in trick-taking games.
And The Donald is doing it in spades.
He sure is taking all the tricks.
Go ahead, I don’t know anything about Breitbarts Tip box.
That’s the ugly truth.
The ugly truth is ANYONE that pays property tax is a slave...
Gov’t Taxing something you own is simply paying RENT...
WHO owns it?... do the math..
