Donald Trump called into The O’Reilly Factor tonight to react to the Chattanooga shooting and to rip President Obama for being too “politically correct” with Islam.
Trump bemoaned the tragedy and went off on the “ridiculous” idea of gun-free zones, saying that the solution is better intelligence, asking how no one could have seen this coming.
Bill O’Reilly asked him about a potential “backlash against Muslim Americans” as a result of the shooting. Trump said probably, but also went off on President Obama for refusing to identify Islamic terrorism as a threat to the United States.
“If we’re going to fight elements that are causing tremendous problems,” Trump said, “at least we have to start maybe being not so politically correct.”
He believes that terror attacks will only get worse because people don’t respect America or its law enforcement.
And, once again, O’Reilly brought up the tweet hinting at an ISIS link that Mediaite debunked earlier today.

I think Trump is primarily ego driven.
And his exposure will only increase, as time goes by.
He’s tapping into a very deep vein of anger and disgust at the fedgov.
I just don't want him to do anything that will demoralize it.

Response: You might have a point there as regards Mexican immigration; however, character matters and being media savvy is not sufficient to be America's president. Barack Hussein Obama was media savvy for the Democrats in 2008, too. A lot of people -- not me -- we're shocked about how bad Obama turned out to be.
Pnt c: Moderate Republicans *have* to notice that Trump’s polls are off the chain.
Response: Yes, the weak sisters and rinos have got to notice Trump's bombast and hopefully will move toward Ann Coulter's view on third world immigration. Trump's blast toward Pamela Geller on the one hand and this massacre on the other show that this man should not be President.
Trump is a fellow who supported Hillary in the past; said Romney's less forceful remarks on immigration too extreme in 2012; and now comes out as the big fighter against Islam and its depredations (which should help business with his Abu Dhabi golf course). At least two of your points out of three are good IMHO; but we should not be fooled by charlatans whether one's name is Barack Hussein Obama or Donald Trump.

Over at Medialite, sandwiched in between this story, and the story where Trump calls McCain a dummy, there’s another headline where Trump is quoted saying “he hopes Rick Perry has to take an IQ test before the debates.”

He’s like the little boy in the fable who finally said “The Emperor has no clothes!” Everyone else knew it but all were afraid to speak the truth. And when the child finally spoke out, the whole carefully constructed myth fell to pieces and the Emperor was a laughingstock. Oh if only!

Cruz is the race car in second place that is drafting, waiting for the other guy to burn too much fuel or make a mistake.

Cruz is the only other candidate playing it smart. Coattails are the way to go, along with a great record on these issues.
All the big money in the world wants this to continue. They bought the Uni-Party in Washington, bought Hollyweird, all big time CEOs, etc. Trump is big money, he knows who these people are and what they really want, yet he goes against them, for now. This is very interesting if he continues.
If any `tards out there still don’t get it, the reason Trump is motoring right along is because he’s saying what we’re all thinking.

I agree, I don’t see any other strategy for Cruz. He’s waiting on a Dean Scream moment that the media will do a pileon, and then he’ll try for front position. But so will Jeb, which the media will favor strongly over Cruz. The deck is unfortunately stacked against him.
It’s all OK! The Islamic terrorists are gonna be defeated now! Obama has announced that he is going to DOUBLE the number of “No Guns Allowed” signs!!
