And we already have them.
Good luck.

Yes, they’ve been doing this for a long time. But eventually, when the number of people working and paying taxes is far outstripped and they run out of other peoples’ money and somebody has to really go out and work and do something substantive it falls apart.
In a riot, people like this are the first to go. The denizens don’t care. They just see what these cretins have and they take it.

Newsweak is salivating like Pavlov's dog just waiting for the day when their political mentors are imitated and those that disagree with the government are officially deemed insane.I believe George Soros's money has a major interest in Newsweek today.

Newsweak still run by Eleanor Clift?
The same Eleanor Clift who, if she had a nose job it would be considered a hysterectomy?

(Those who support liberal "Republicans" summarily support every action by same.)
To: pabianice
Liberals use the device of the false hope of perfect security to justify their takeover. 50,000 people a year die in auto accidents. . .there is no such thing as perfect security. That there are reckless drivers in no way should affect my freedom to be a licensed driver. Same with guns, actually, even more so. . .because the "right to bear arms" is guaranteed. . .and thus. . no one. . NO ONE has the legal standing to arbitrarily dictate the sphere of my right.
If we allow liberals to fiddle with the sphere of our right to bear arms. . .tempted by the false hope of perfect security. . .it will never end. . .they will then stand on the precedent that someone or some institution supercedes the Creator who has endowed us our rights. Even if we have never owned a gun or even fired one. . .people who love their freedom must oppose liberals on the simple principle that they have no legal standing to fiddle with one iota of any of our freedoms and rights. The founders asserting that our rights "are endowed by the Creator" was THEIR DEVICE to make sure that the non-angels who run the government would be in check. . .that the power to govern. . did not originate WITH government.. . but by consent of those endowed with the authority to govern (the People)

Obama wants Iran to have nukes, so there is a symmetry.

It's a very long article, and when I scanned it I saw that the author correctly identified an AR-10 in one picture, so I kept reading.
His arguments are for universal background checks, magazine capacity limitations, and no open carry, and in return gun owners get shall issue in all 50 states (presumably that includes NYC,) repeal ban on all 'cop killer' bullets, and repeal regional bans on 'assault weapons' that the author correctly points out do not really exist as a class of weapon in the first place.
I cannot accept the author's compromises, but the article isn't as anti-gun as the screaming headline and the excerpt indicate.

This is just the classic lib incrementalist approach. Chip away a little here, a little there until they achieve total confiscation.

Is News-weak still in print? The publishers need to do us all a favor and put it out of its misery by cancelling it.

But Obama thinks felons should be allowed to vote. Obama also wants thugs released from prisons and given the right to vote as they're walking out the door. Seems the only people liberals want disarmed and muzzled are law biding citizens ...
Oh - and the monster who killed black Christians at a prayer meet? He was sold the gun because the FBI effed up...

I’m thinking that “Kurt Eichenwald” is a made-up name. The very Aryan first name of “Kurt” is added to a name made of combining Buchenwald with Eichmann. This is certainly a convenient name for a gun-grabbing totalitarian.
Wait til you see his final solutions for NRA members, Christians, and patriots. Then he will get to the eugenics of cleansing the gene pool of all these mental detectives he’s so worried about.
Yeah, with people like this in the national media, citizens have no need at all for firearms. Remember, the elite knows best.

This is just the classic lib incrementalist approach. Chip away a little here, a little there until they achieve total confiscation. Like Reagan's 1986 Fireearm Owners Protection Act that permanently closed the Title II machine gun registry in return for the NICS instant background check system.
