Earth heading for 'mini ice age' in just 15 years, scientists say
UPI ^ | Updated July 11, 2015 | Doug G. Ware

Solar scientists predict that the Earth will enter a "mini ice age" around 2030 due to decreased activity by the sun, which will bring with it frigid cold winters. The last time the Earth experienced a similar situation occurred between 1645 and 1715.

The only way to reverse changing solar activity is to raise taxes.

Ha...King Canute Obama will issue an Executive Order to the Sun to start making sunspots.

It follows the sunspot cycle. We are heading for a minimum

* Whew!! Another Earth-threatening catastrophe apparently averted!! But now what? Do we increase greenhouse gas emissions to prevent the world from freezing over?? *

Algore will not suggest that you drive your SUV almost as much as he does. Also, follow his example and fly your jet as much as possible to obtain high fees speaking nonsense.

Nope, it leads to climate change. Whenever global warming people can’t explain or are caught out then it’s climate change.

Ya know, I have been thinking about putting a Jacobs Exhaust Brake on my Ram 2500. I think this article has sold me on it because, as a side benefit, these things work pretty well for getting a Cummins diesel up to operating temperature on those chilly NW Pennsylvania winter mornings.

Time for an excise tax on hybrids and subsidies & tax credits for SUVs if we’re to have any hope of heading off climate disaster!

Look for the lefty kooks to demand worldwide CO2 generators once they learn that is was thanks to the Industrial Revolution that we already avoided another ice aqe.

Flavor-of-the-month panic alert.

Things change. Adjust.

Human beings are among the most adaptable creatures on the face of planet Earth. This “Maunder Minimum” is just a blip on the geological time span during which Earth has existed.

I am sure cockroaches have been through several of these cyclical changes, and THEY are still around. I have confidence that humanity, or at least the more crafty and resilient ones, will cope successfully with the coming circumstances.

Actually, in many ways a mini-Ice Age is worse for humans than global warming. The reason is simple: Ice Ages tend to lower food production, and with lower food production and a still-growing population, a Malthusian disaster stops being far-fetched.

Not sure about the timing but we WILL enter another ice age at some point. We will need a LOT of energy plants to adapt and even survive. This argues for an energy policy that does not shackle energy companies. The liberals are exactly 180 degrees out of phase.

This is exactly what NASA engineer and climatologist John L Casey predicts in his book, “Dark Winter.” The sun is entering an approximately 200 year cycle of decrease in activity.

While the planet is preparing for record heat the opposite will happen.
