South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Friday that real estate mogul Donald Trumps rhetoric on immigration is going to kill the Republican Party and its chances of winning back the White House in 2016.
Appearing on CNNs At This Hour with hosts John Berman and Kate Bolduan, Graham argued that Trumps comments on Mexican illegal immigrants is going to destroy the GOPs chances of winning in 2016, adding further that the party needs to be clear about how we handle this.

GOP = the stupid party
50 years of this upside down immigration policy... a policy that NO OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD would follow for 5 years, much less 50... and yet virtually nobody in the GOP has the guts to come out and say it's been a giant failure and it's time to switch back to immigration based on bringing:
1) talented and educated immigrants with skills we need, and...
2) from countries in western europe and other 1st/2nd world nations who can assimilate more quickly and won't balkanize this country.
there's always room for legit political refugees so long as they don't threaten our system of government, but for the most part, immigration should revert back to what it was before the Kennedys wrecked it in the 60's.
i'm tired of hateful, poor, illiterate, radical immigrants from the 3rd world coming here to sponge off of the welfare state while commiting crimes like: identity theft, DUI, rape, murder, and assault. 50 years is more than enough of this madness. it has to stop! F U grahamnesty!!
I agree with almost all you wrote, but the Republican Party is not led by spineless or stupid people. The GOPe knows exactly what it wants. If you doubt me, check out how vehemently the GOPe attacks conservative positions.
Consider immigration. Both parties want amnesty but know it is extremely unpopular with Americans. I’m talking many Democrats and most Republicans. This explains why neither party enacted amnesty when they had the chance or done anything to oppose it.
What about gay “marriage”? Elites in both parties wanted it or at least didn’t oppose it. I’m sure many Republican leaders secretly applauded the Supreme Court’s recent injustice, because it created political cover. The GOPe can now claim to support conservatives without actually having to do anything, because...sadly...sniff...sniff...the court has ruled.
No. The Republican Party is not spineless or stupid.
The GOP is already dead. Death by suicide. They cut off their conservative head, and death followed shortly after.
I have 2 standard poodles. what breed(s) of dog do you have? :)
The rotting carcass Graham is defending.
Die monster, die!
Rest in Puke ya dope!
Long live non-politically correct candidates that aren’t cookie cutter could’ve wins.
But what would Lindsey do if he got turned out and had to work for a living? It’s very sad. /sarc/
Newsflash, Lindsey - You and your RINO ass-wipes long ago killed the GOP.
the metaphor is of a WWII bomber
Donald Trump is over the target delivering ordinance and taking Flak from the ground and nobody is flying cover for him except for ted cruz.
it’s instructive to watch who is attacking him too
The Party is already dead - the name is only a place-holder. When it lived, it would welcome the truth and agree with Trump’s statements and tactics.
Good its needs to be killed, you were elected to fight and you chose to put your tails between your legs and allow the cretan to continue to destroy this country.
Hey Lindsey the Uniparty has ruined my country!
Bush and the Repubs tried to pass amnesty but got serious pushback.
Oh, for Pete’s sake, Linda...quit whiiiiiining.
Lindsey's not the only Establishment/Vichy/RINO/Chamber of Commerce Tool/DemocRAT-lite Republican crying over the death of "their" Party...
He says that as if it were a bad thing.
