Just think of the quality of the “fresh” water taken onboard in Cuba, of a garbage scow like one of Carnival’s? Their water tanks being notorious for e-coli problems and massive onboard illnesses. So, they’re perfect for those who don’t want to be on a raft to the US.
This route will quickly be shut down— no takers.
Maybe a repeat, Cuban style of the Italian liner running aground and the captain of the ship boogeying away- or trying to anyway. There are... LOTS of sharks around Cuba and in the FL Straits.

The wife and I have been hunting for months now. Summer Carribean cruise rates are double to triple what they were a year ago. Last Aug and Oct we got last minute $30/night rates. If they are in fact giving the unsold cabins to minorities and the feds are paying for it, we won’t ever be able to sail again. Why would they drop the price is welfare will pay double or triple?
I got this info at a July 4 party from a guy that works for Carnival.
It’s true and the employees are pissed because they are not getting tipped and it is a zoo at sea.
