A law enforcement official says the gun used in the seemingly random slaying of a woman on a San Francisco pier belonged to a federal agent.
The official who was briefed on the matter says a police check of the weapon’s serial number shows it belonged to a federal agent. The official was not authorized to speak publicly about the case and spoke on condition of anonymity.

How is this different from Fast & Furious? Sending the guns down to Mexico for them to bring back to the U.S. to cause gun havoc. Or arming them HERE while in detention then releasing them onto our streets to cause gun havoc. In the end, Odungo gets the media on the gun-bashing rampage, enabling him to FORWARD his gun-grabber agenda.
Our gov't is KNOWINGLY releasing thousands upon thousands of KNOWN CRIMINAL ALIENS onto our streets. Arming them isn't such a stretch after all, is it..

I thought I heard the gun was stolen from a vehicle. If so did the illegal alien murder suspect steal it?

If that is true, I have to ask, what armed federal agent, would be so stupid as to leave his gun in the car? Are these idiots smart enough to come in out of the rain?
When you consider that "armed federal agent" includes IRS, EPA, CPS, TSA, DHS, DoJ, DHHS and many, many more who walk around armed but with little actual training and an attitude - this isn't all that surprising.
An individual like you and me who pay good $$ for the weapons we carry every day are less likely to leave them somewhere (bathroom stall, unlocked in a vehicle) to get stolen than some alphabet soup yahoo who had it issued to them.
Reading "armed federal agent" people think, "FBI" or somesuch... but 'taint necessarily so in today's world.

Yes I have a feeling you are right. Most of them ARE stupid. What a hazardous operation. Armed and stupid. At least being in prisons for more than 25 years, we had gun safety pounded into our heads every day. You are right. I am not about to leave my weapon in some rest room somewhere. I can see where these federal idiots might.
The feds should not have guns. Only trained and responsible people should have guns.
