House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer says that the over 200 sanctuary cities like Baltimore and San Francisco should be informing federal authorities when local law enforcement arrest felons like the illegal immigrant who allegedly shot and killed 32-year-old Kate Steinle in San Francisco last week.
When asked by The Daily Caller if federal funds should be withheld to such cities who refuse to comply with federal law and do not report felons to federal authorities that are arrested by local police departments, Hoyer replied, “Without getting into specifics as to the action we ought to take, my feeling is that clearly, we have all made clear we need comprehensive immigration reform. Having said that, people who commit crimes and in this case, felonies as I understand it, need to be excluded and removed from our country.”

Why bother informing the feds? Per Obama’s unilateral amnesty by fiat the feds will just let these people go.

There would seem to be plenty of AINO’s that should also be deported to the middle of the Pacific Ocean along with the illegal invaders.

It’s so comforting to see that the people who are in leadership positions are so damned insightful that they can see this stuff in advance. Who’da thunk that an illegal immigrant who was deported 5 times would not have chosen a straight and narrow path to being a valued, responsible citizen?
This is perfectly reminiscent of the modus of CA politicans. Some freak event happens...a 7 year old named Kimberly reaches over to turn off her Mom’s ignition switch and the Mom loses steering and crashes into a bridge and the next day there is a “Kimberley’s Law” that forbids children under 8 from touching car keys.
If these cities don;t have to follow federal law, then why can;t a city declare itself a federal tax free zone?????

ICE tried to take custody of Kathryn Steinle’s killer on one of his six turnstile visits to San Francisco, but San Francisco officials refused to turn him over.
Oddly enough the feds didn’t throw their weight around, demanding to get their way, blustering and shouting things like “preemption!”
See, if your state does something the Obama administration doesn’t like, like pursuing illegal aliens, you get the full court press (like Donald Trump), even if the feds don’t have the law.
However, if you are thumbing your nose at the law, and the Obama administration doesn’t have a problem with what you are doing, hey—carry on!
It’s not as if anyone important is being killed by illegals. It’s just regular people, schmucks like you and me.
Representatives are elected every two years. He’s got to cover his bases.
