Could Barack Obama's great week mark a turning point in his poll numbers?
After months of stagnant approval ratings, a new CNN/ORC poll finds that for the first time in more than two years, 50% of Americans approve of the way Obama is handling the presidency. And his overall ratings are bolstered by increasingly positive reviews of his treatment of race relations and the economy.

Who needs a state owned media when you’ve got CNN.
Thank you, John Roberts.
If that’s true, then the American electorate is dumber than I thought.
I wonder if the Soviet people actually looked at Pravda.
In other news CNN finds more than 50% of Americans are easily manipulated sheep.
it just goes to prove how many terminally stupid people there are in America these days . Really really sad . Our forefathers ghosts must be about to re-groak
Also some of the negatives were coming from the libs that thought he wasn't doing enough for the queers and welfare queens.
I believe it. Nobody respects losers.
Americans glom onto the “winner.” Doesn’t matter how bad the result is, they just like being on the winning team. Sad.
FRAUD, Like everything else in this country.
It will be only a matter of time before those numbers come back down. If my memory serves me properly, his numbers went up somewhat like this in the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings and the theatre he engaged in related to that incident. Once people get beyond that and start to see what more will happen to their healthcare and his continuing incompetence with the economy, foreign affairs, and most other things Presidential, they’ll be back to reality (I know, whack me for being an optimist here).
Obama will take advantage of his popularity to take away more rights by executive order.
I DON’T believe one single syllable coming out of CNN!!!!!!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove. . .
If you look at Russia, if you look at England, if you look at China, if you look at Egypt and so forth. Im not saying its his fault, but we have not improved our relationship with individual countries and I would say that the United Statess influence and prestige and respect in the world is probably lower than it was six or seven years ago, Carter said.
“and most other things Presidential, theyll be back to reality (I know, whack me for being an optimist here).”
You’re 100% right. No need for whacking ... off hand comments are not necessary! :-)
Kidding aside, he’ll be back down into the low 40s by fall. Bush got a decent bump when they captured Hussein and continued his downward trend thereafter. Moreover, Obama is entering his final year of (legal) WH residency ... the approval rating is only going to get worse should nothing else major happen between now and then.
Quite frankly, after the week the Dems had, hitting 50% is pathetic.
Obama’s approval rating grows as the nation and its culture shrinks to a new low.
Are you saying that this was a "pull" poll ?
They MUST be calling just Obama, and asking him if he felt he had a good week.
