Elections have consequences - we were warned
June 26, 2015 | Self

This is exactly why, when conservatives sit on the sideline awaiting the 100% pure candidate, we damage ourselves. Election have consequences and this is one - the ability to select Supreme Court Justices who will sit for life. Look at the ages of Obama's picks - 55 and 61. They are not going anywhere for years.

Abortion, gay marriage, assaults upon Christianity... and we dare to sing God Bless America. Why would he bless us when we spit in his eye.

Look. you promised you were coming over with a katana. I love Anime and all but I’m more a Skyrim guy. They way I can live out the fantasy of being abused by Vlad and a strong warrior chick at the same time if you add the bearskin. That way I can be truly a new American man and be a transfetishist too.

I’ll even play 80s tunes from Red Dawn and Red Sonjia.

Yes I know Romney was unelectable. Though he could have won if 3.5M conservatives like you didn’t not vote.

We’re not debating over WHY Romney lost. We’re discussing the consequences of electing someone as evil as Obama - as you did by your protest “non-vote” - which was a vote for Obama.

By not voting, you got an EVIL squishy liar in Obama instead and the huge mess we’re in: (ISIS, Israel alienated, Obamacare, IRS Lerner, etc.)

Again, answer me with a straight face: “Do you think the America would be in the SAME pathetic situation now if Romney and not Obama were elected?”

If you say “YES” then there is no help for you.

I understand your reasoning. I have one focus based on the political reality we face...how do we stop a Democrat from getting the WH again, particularly Clinton.

I have always believed we nominate the most principled conservative running for GOP, but the GOPe running the party has always prevented that. As of now I do not honestly believe a strong conservative can beat the democrat nominee. I hate the fact I believe that, it sucks, it infuriates me but that is the conclusion I have come to in the current political reality we find ourselves in. I know others will strongly refute that, that we should get the best conservative there is as the GOP nominee. I think that will result in Clinton or Sanders in the WH.

The voters have moved even further left than when Obama won the second time. I will support whoever the GOP nominee is this time, but at this time I will remain focused on who can beat Clinton or Sanders, not who is the most anything.

Might I remind you that my friend Ronald Reagan ALSO DIDN’T SERVE IN THE MILITARY either (I visited him in his office once). Are you also going to criticize the venerable Ronald Reagan for his lack of military service?

By the way, you are a little insane, along with being so ignorant.

Captain Reagan had LOTS of military service.

In 1935 Ronald Reagan started his officer's correspondence course

From 1937 through 1941, Army reserve Lieutenant Reagan, spent 5 years as an officer in the horse cavalry, in combat arms, and was brought onto active duty in WWII in that status.

Ronald Reagan then served in transportation and then film, as an active duty Army officer until the end of WWII. "While on active duty with the 1st Motion Picture Unit and the 18th AAFBU, Reagan served as Personnel Officer, Post Adjutant, Executive Officer, and even Commanding Officer, often two or more at the same time."

"In 1945, Reagan was recommended for promotion but because there was no major's vacancy in his unit at the time, the request was not approved. On April 1, 1953, his commission in the Officers' Reserve Corps was terminated as required by law and his military affiliation apparently ended."

Ummm, dude, in one breath, you say won’t vote for EVIL, and the next breath you’re saying you’ll vote for Hitlery??? You are one mixed up dude.

It is called strategy. If the next Bush finishes with 10% or less of the vote the message "no more democrats with an (R)" the clueless ones in DC might get the message.

The worst of SCOTUS were nominated by Bush and poppy Bush, and Reagan. The current crop of republicrats in DC are actively working against the conservative movement. See the threads on the flag and TPP.

Republicans did every bit as much damage to the country as democrats. Peddle your party line Republican crap to somebody else. Republicans are obviously not the answer.

Peace, FRiend. I expect we probably do agree on much more than we disagree.

I’ll always vote. Downticket always needs my help and if conservatives control enough statehouses we can slow down the madness to a point.

But in terms of voting, all I’d suggest to you is that despite all that some people tell you here ... in the words of Mr. Spock, there are ALWAYS alternatives.

Hell, Romney paved the way for Obama.

I supported Perry and when Romney won the nomination I supported Romney. I had no doubt that obama would be even more destructive in his 2nd term than he had been in his first and I was convinced if nothing else Romney would be effective at reviving the economy and gaining some control over the fed. govt.. I will stand by that.

Now I no longer see the point in supporting anyone who is not a solid conservative. What's the point in electing someone who will manage the socialist state better. It's still a socialist state. Also, the SCOTUS has made it very clear this week that it doesn't matter who nominates the judges, so that argument falls by the wayside.

Thank you for your correction.

I was basically saying Reagan didn’t FIGHT in the military. My point in bringing Reagan was to illustrate that Norm (other poster) can’t attack someone’s credibility by using military service as a litmus test as he tried to do. His argument was a red herring and I maintain that Romney would have been far far better on foreign policy than the muz-sympathizer. I don’t think anyone can argue that point effectively.

By the way, for Reagan to be making military films isn’t exactly risking his life like the guys who went to WWII, Vietnam, and Iraq.

I don’t fault Reagan for that. Anyhow, there are certainly many other politicians who haven’t served in the military who don’t deserve to be maligned for not serving and could be strong on foreign policy:

Think Ted Cruz.

Oh-—just believe the MSM and government controlled institutions—as Solzhenitsyn warned you NOT to do in 1978-—and, of course, the Press is MORE Free and MORE honest now, aren’t they, as we hear from Atkinson and West and see what the Press does to people who go off their allowed “agenda”.

Hmmmmmmm History will prove you wrong and most conspiracy theories “Correct” as Diana West proved in her book, “America Betrayal”— where everything ain’t what it seems.

But-—you can believe the MSM if you want. I could care less. Even Ray Bradbury stated the media was for the “proper” perceptions of ignorant masses and to create addicts to prevent them from learning the Truth.

“On the day the Los Angeles County coroner released Breitbart’s autopsy report, a photographic technician at the coroner’s office died suddenly of suspicious causes.” Hmmmmmm

No they don’t. They don’t agree on candidates and split the vote. Conservatives don’t really all agree on anything as demonstrated by our exchange. :-)

Until conservatives get their act together they don’t stand a chance. And even if they did they probably dont have the numbers to do much except blog.

“Do you think the America would be in the SAME pathetic situation now if Romney and not Obama were elected?”

I think there's no question that in foreign policy we would be in a much better situation and economically we would be seeing better growth. However, on the big issue of govt having control over our healthcare I doubt obamacare would be gone. So the trend towards America becoming a european socialist state would have continued, but at a slower pace.

If there is any hope for the future it will require a strong conservative to be POTUS.

Yeah, well.. you go ahead see conspiracies.

See a lot of ‘em.

Might make you feel better.

Has nothing to do with MSM or any “M”.. just a bunch of wishful thinking and conjecture.

I guess that is good enough for you, huh?
