Six are the Chief, Kennedy, Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan.
secession is the only way to re-establish a free country
You nailed it.
Robert’s children were illegally adopted. Look it up.
Oh I agree...single-payer will be here by 2025. The current program is a failure and just sits there until both parties admit they’ve run it into the ground as far as they can.
Oddly, when you go back to the last months of the Nixon administration....this was exactly what he was preaching and discussing. Had Watergate not occurred and he stayed on...we would have single-payer today. I won’t say it’s good or going to fix anything, but we’ve burnt just about every bridge possible now. There’s virtually nothing much left to screw with.
and in a surprise ruling today, over ruling all prior vestiges of precedent and jurisprudence, the SC announced the 2A is not constitutional ruling upon a hand written request by lord high mystic ruler Obama. In the surprise announcement, the court ruled 6 to 3 that the framers must have meant the citizens were meant to keep their body part arms, not firearms. Writing for the majority, CJ Roberts said he looked back at the original document and did not see any mention of fire in the language and as such he ruled the language stands as written. Asked by the NRA attorney summoned to the court steps how he felt the written language in the O care bill was not what was meant, Roberts said, well, you have to be fluid these days. Oh, take this man into custody as he has bad thoughts.
Charles Manson was right about the Supreme Court. Nine men shouldn’t be telling 300,000,000 people what to do.
The Supreme court just did the Republicans a HUGE favor.
WHAT !?!?!?! you say
Well... I can guarantee you that if the Supreme Court had ruled against the subsidies that the RINO’s in congress would have quickly passed a law keeping them in place “supposedly temporarily” but which in effect would have kept them forever.
And once the RINO’s had done that, they would have been swept from power in 2016.
“We go to internment camps.”
Not me. When they come for me I’ll be shooting.
Indeed. The Marxists will make it "work," even when they have to lie, to advance the agenda. Socialist Security is a dead man walking, but the average person wouldn't know it.
I left the party when the liberal Republican hierarchy forced Mittens on us. That’s when I realized the Republican Party had gone full liberal and that it no longer represented conservatives.
Now that we have no representation, we will have to take action for ourselves. Civil war is coming.
Had the Court ruled differently today, all these things would still have remained in place. The only difference is that the pricing structure would have been forced into an immediate death spiral. This would have been a forcing mechanism, nothing more. Congress and eventually the state legislatures are still going to have to do the hard work of crafting a new and better system.
Had the Court ruled correctly today, much would have then depended on the time available to legislate a transition. Since Obama would presumably veto anything that unravels the basic architecture of socialized medicine, we would have a continuing crisis stretching through election day. This would have been problematic in political terms, but at least the question would have been forced. Now reform is on an open-ended timetable, and the "move along" do-nothing crowd will be able to coast.
It is important to define at this point what a better health insurance system would look like. My own view is that it would consist of catastrophic care insurance with health savings accounts and guaranteed renewability, with rates adjustable for factors under an individual's control. (Gain wait, take up smoking, drinking or drugs, etc., and your rates go up.) This would require a separate support system for those unfortunates who are uninsurable from an early age.
The case for this approach is as compelling now as it was before. The next Republican president and Congress should take it on as their second order of business, as transitioning Social Security to a fully funded, investment based system is the easier lift, and should be done first.
So: we've lost a problematic forcing mechanism. The case for reform is unchanged. And the need for reform is unchanged. The welfare state is going to bankrupt us, and the only question is whether we tackle entitlements before we hit the ditch.
Scalia needs to say it explicitly. People who believe in the system are under no moral obligation to obey decisions that are so nakedly non-legal.
Just figures. But this is a dead nation anyway. This very week, seeing the cowering and cringing before the Confederate flag issue, showed me what a nation of worthless cowards this has become. Once the Court imposes homo-marriage onto the country, America can fully burn to the ground as far as I’m concerned.
Nope, you must also subsidize other's insurance by purchasing Obamacare. Or pay a tax. Freedom, comrade, freedom. /sarcasm
What a giant pile of cow excriment this decision is. If a statute is broken, it should remain broken until Congress fixes it. No Supreme Court bailout. It's statutory construct 101.
I certainly hope Abbott has the guts to secede. I at least hope he’s talking to people about it.
I gotta’ go look at some protection I need to purchase.

Created Things.
Just like those in the cycle of human cult-ural self destruction described in Romans 1:25...
Civil disobedence will become an in thing to do.
And in this case, he fixed bad legislation. He's inconsistent. He can afford to be. He's not elected, and there is zero probability of him being removed.
The left has had a fantastic week: of destroying America from within.
