Former North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan wont run for Senate in 2016, disappointing Democrats counting on her to unseat Republican Richard Burr in what will be a major swing state race.
Hagan was unseated by Republican Thom Tillis in 2014 after one term in the Senate, and has struggled in the polls since, but was the obvious pick to challenge Burr. Shes been calling donors and supporters to inform them she wont run, reported Roll Call.
Hagan performed relatively well in an election where Republicans secured big majorities in the House and Senate, and supporters figured she could unseat Burr with Hillary Clinton on the ticket and the typically larger voter turnout in a presidential election year.

Hagan...Burr...what difference does it make?
It’s impossible for her to win. Voter ID begins in 2016.
Hagan...Burr....Tillis...What difference does it make/
I agree. I mean, heck, Pat Toomey is in the lead on the new anti-gun measure? WTF? Why have we worked all these years to get “conservatives” in when they screw us? Even Cruz’s votes on the trade bill were questionable. Paul and Rubio are now over the cliff.
“What difference, at this point, does it make”?
The prime difference that it could make is if a Republican wins the Presidency and then tries to get his judicial appointments to be brought up through the committees. If the Dems control the Senate, his nominations will languish. If the Republicans control the Senate, the judges can maybe be confirmed 51-49. Harry Reid sat on George Bush’s judicial nominees during the last 2 years of Bush’s presidency. Controlling the Senate would make a HUGE difference in appointing justices.
Yes, but that assumes the Republicans would actually use the power given by the voters instead of going along to get along and making sure the presstitutes don’t say mean things about them.
I’m kinda sorry to hear you don’t believe Cruz’ explanation. I feel he will lose a valuable fan in you.
He’s still my #1, but he had a chance to separate and even begin to appeal to Dems.
I am so happy to read that. I know he will come through and by doing so, he’ll be showing himself to be the strong man that I think he is. Strength is one of the most important qualities that is needed at this time.

Well, to me it isn’t close. There is Cruz, then way below him Walker, Jindal, and Rubio, then below them Paul. I could vote for Trump, but none of the rest. This time I will not vote for Pres. if it’s Bush or Christie or Huckabee.
I have written many times on this forum and insisted that I shall vote for Cruz, even if I have to write in his name. Something I never have done before. It may be a wasted vote, however, I feel just that strongly about it.

Who cares? Can we all now admit that it doesn’t matter which party is in charge? The government is still the enemy of our liberty.
