Police say an ice cream truck driver in Maryland was gunned down as he was selling treats to children and a suspect has been arrested.

Frederick police say 22-year-old Brandon Brown was fatally shot Saturday afternoon at Lucas Village, a subsidized housing complex.

Lt. Clark Pennington, a police spokesman, says Brown drove into the community playing music to announce his arrival. He says children were lined up to buy ice cream when Brown stepped out of the truck and was approached by a man who shot him in the chest. Brown died at the scene.

What the world isn’t big enough to have problems in both, you think it’s only either/or? There are problems in both. The cops need to be the first to purge out the bad ones instead of protect them, because that unfairly reflects on the good ones. Urban blacks nee to get the guts to do the same thing instead of blaming everyone else and downplaying and excusing their thugs.

We’re getting our house ready to list for sale. I hope we can do it before the apartment building starts going up behind my house. And I’m sure lots of possible buyers will ask “What’s going to be built behind you?” I have no good answer.

If worse comes to worse I’ll walk away from the mortgage and spend my final days in a travel trailer.
