A former editor of a prominent Christian publication is praising Tony Campolo after he announced this week that he has decided to endorse and speak out for the inclusion of open homosexuals in the Body of Christa move that is generating concern among Christians nationwide.
God bless Tony Campolo, wrote retired Christianity Today editor David Neff on Facebook this week. He is acting in good faith and is, I think, on the right track.
Campolos wife, Peggy, is a homosexual activist and believes that the Church should be accepting of same-sex marriage. He explained that his wife is one of the reasons why he has decided to endorse acceptance of homosexuals in Christianity. . . . .
Mark Tooley, the president of the Institute on Religion and Democracy, also commented on Neff in The Stream.
Neff in recent years has inclined leftward, especially in his former role on the executive board of the National Association of Evangelicals, he wrote, stating that Neff has backed ostensible compromise abortion language from Democrats to ease passage of Obamacare and endorsed Jim Walliss Circle of Protection around federal entitlement programs, among other items.

—a move that is generating concern among Christians nationwide.—
Concern? Try outrage.
Matthew 3:12 “His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Any “Christian” who calls for full acceptance of unrepentant, practicing homosexuals, aka sinners, is preaching heresy. Fire, meet chaff.
May the Lord protect us and keep us clear headed in this time of great deception!
Nobody worth knowing. He is a wolf in sheep clothing.
God willing, I will die first, either in my bed or by a bullet from the heretic's gun.
Here we stand; we can do no other. May God help us.
“I find it fascinating that the Islamic State treatment of faggots is more Biblical than that proposed by Christians.”
Pithy, but not true.
That made me laugh. Apt description. Shame the name of it and all......
“...those things were done contrary to the Scripture, not at its bidding”
Absolutely! Christ did not tell us to forcibly convert people, torture them into repentance, or any number of other things done falsely in His name.
“It’s like finding a piece of used toilet paper stuck to your shoe...”
Ewwww! Hey, you’re right!
Homosexuals, though they may struggle with their affliction for the rest of their lives, cannot engage in that lifestyle without consequence. Although any bible believing church would accept them were they to make the effort to live a christ inspired life. Same as the rest of us.
He’s the Clintons’ Jim Wallis.
I agree. All Christians were sinners before they repented and were forgiven.
All these supposedly evangelical Christians who say they accept the authority of the Bible but believe the church should accept homosexuals who are in a committed marriage...when a gay member of their church moves in with his boyfriend before getting married, are they going to put him under church discipline?
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 11-13)
Unsaved. "Twice dead" means they are destined for the second death, the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14,15)
He is acting in good faith and is, I think, on the right track.
Acting in good faith? Isn’t that like relying on your own understanding?
Ok thank you, so he’s a liberal. I wonder if he was asked about Clintons affairs and conduct while in the Oval office too?

Jesse Jackson was Clintons Advisor on Adutlery a well versed and practiced advisor. Tony Campolo was his on Call Photo Op adviser!
Wow. This is very, very sad. I knew Christianity Today began to lean left some time ago as evidenced by their almost daily injection of homosexual articles in their online site, but now Campolo?
Things are getting really serious now as God is undoubtedly separating the wheat from the chaff. Let all know that Tony Campolo and Christianity Today now stand in direct opposition to the inerrant wWord of God.
May they repent before they face eternity.
the abomination of homosexuality and the practitioners thereof are not content with just acceptance, most churches accept anybody as is, the problem is they want us to aid in the commission of said abominations - this is akin to a mugger demanding the church help in the next mugging - pfffsssst
