We sure had some fun on that Classical Music thread today, didn’t we?

I am still pretty sick with this cold, but laughter is the best medicine.

We were shameless. Every last one of us.

I was laughing and cringing at the same time.

One of these Friday evenings, when I'm not totally wiped out from the struggle of the work-week, I'll post another batch of Sock-Hop tunes. I can't believe it's over a half century from those days, but it's no big deal - I can't dance now and I couldn't dance then. :)

"I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life.
I am prepared to give my life in their defense."

Ever see the silent version? De Mille did that one, too- and got pretty racy on the OT portion!! He also used gelatin with water running over it for the Red Sea-it even wiggles-guess the waters really did “congeal”! Lol

Yes...I have the silent version on DVD.

The one where the wicked son skimps on the concrete and a cathedral falls on his mother’s head!

“I’m getting tired of the dying thing. I figure Barb just had an old friend arrive to keep her company till I get there.”

That makes me sad, LV, but many of us know of and feel your pain. *hugs*

FOOD FOR THE SOUL: THE CHOPIN NOCTURNES

This is a heartbreakingly beautiful beginning, but the calm is deceptive. The storm breaks loose in the middle as Fred goes through the dark flat keys. The storm subsides, and the beautiful calm returns.

Chopin: Nocturne in F, Op. 15/1
