How about Elmer Bernstein’s exodus score from “The Ten Commandments”? ((Goosebumps))

Heat here as well. In the last week there has been thunder, lightening, and rain all around us but not one drop of the wet stuff here. Crazy!

Did you have a good visit with the kids?

FOOD FOR THE SOUL: THE CHOPIN NOCTURNES

This is one of the most famous pieces by Chopin. It comes across like a Bellini aria, but with a darkening of the harmony each time the two sections of the piece repeat. It’s great to listen to, but I found it tedious to play.

Chopin: Nocturne in E-flat, Op. 9/2

Oh Yeah!

“Moses Moses, you great big stubborn adorable fool!”...Nefertiri.

I have combed the Book of Exodus in several translations, including the Masoretic Text, and I can’t find that line! I think Cecile B. DeMille made it up! LOL!

Doing well. The Chopin pieces are for high quality wallerin’ time, the hot tub of classical music. Listen with a glass of wine.

Yeah, it's so nice being close to and hanging with son-boy.

He just graduated from H.S. this past week and will study to become a youth Pastor.

Daughter is just a few hours away in Seattle and I see her every 3-4 weeks.

The march from “The Great Race’ by Henry Mancini has some delicious musical quotes in it.

Well, darn! That makes me wish I HAD a hot tub! :) That’s the kind of music I like though-—wash-away-the-stress music.

De Mille probably did- who else would start the movie by coming out from that humongous curtain? Lol!

FOOD FOR THE SOUL: THE CHOPIN NOCTURNES

Catch the little bits of dissonance in the left hand. Another touch of Bellini.

Chopin: Nocturne in B, Op. 9/3
