Hi Kathy....
Unfortunately, my area is on life support with the rationing going on. We need a real miracle to keep us going.

FOOD FOR THE SOUL: THE CHOPIN NOCTURNESThis looks back to the nocturnes of John Field, an Irish composer thirty years older than Chopin, who pioneered the effects that Fred was to use at the piano.

Thanks oldteen. I know i'm not the only one who has had a rough couple of years. I'm hitting the road tomorrow to visit my dad and take some flowers for my wife's grave and some for my brother's as well. See a few old friends. Wherever I go - Mark Knopfler ft. Ruth Moody

Actually, I was going through my stuff today and I found a playlist I had been working up - not the Sock-Hop staples, but a batch of late 50's and 60's comedy tunes. It will be coming up on a Friday soon if I can ever catch my breath.

Being with family and friends is always a comforting thing. At least my 2 kids live in town and one of my granddaughters so I’m good with that.
Have a safe trip and enjoy the time.

FOOD FOR THE SOUL: THE CHOPIN NOCTURNESThis is full of strangeness and mystery, a muted slow waltz without the usual rolling accompaniment. The second section, even more sparse, is marked religioso, a hymn-like, chordal section in F Major that sounds a bit like Satie and ends the piece without a return to the opening material.
Chopin: Nocturne in G minor, Op. 15/3
